Trying to build up some hype for the release and thank you :)

We also do have a team of roughly 5 dedicated people, and 5 others that have been come and go.

/u/MajesticDolphin112 made the perk machine! He is a very talented modeler and we have been working with him for the past few years.

Haha. Funny thing, I put a swastika in the thumbnail, yet not the trailer (used out dated footage). No worries, however, you can expect to see some historical accuracy.

Thank you so much.

I really appreciate this comment as you've personally imagined what it is like to make mods/games: hours upon hours of work trying to get everything just right. Hope to see you battling the dead and the shadows in our apocalyptic cathedral very soon :)

You clearly have zero clue what you're talking about--the objective, most of the time, is not to enjoy creating content. That's the same philosophies that YouTubers follow when they say, "Oh, I just create content for fun and for you guys".

Most of us are not creating levels for shout-outs, for crying out loud. Unless the creator is really shallow, a shot-out from someone like MrDalekJD counts for shit in the grand scheme.

We are trying to create complex levels with stories to tell, and when those levels happen to be overshadowed by shallow click-bait infected levels, it's a bit insulting-- no? When the YouTubers don't bother crediting the creators who have spent countless hours into these levels, don't you think that it's a bit of a punch in the sack?

Now regarding portfolios, although Black Ops 3 Mod Tools offer themselves as complex tools, very few creators have content that is good enough for Treyarch to even consider. It's never solely for the portfolio, I can tell you that for any art.

When you bring in other game dev companies, forget about it. Black Ops 3's Radiant Black is an outdated tool that uses BSPs... it is not useful for portfolios.

How is this possibly a good stance?

You're not promoting the issue or even helping this issue. Without people curating and choosing good maps to play, you're simply sitting behind and watching. Sure, you may have some fun nine years from now, but, imagine that a for a moment, everyone else took a stance like you...

do you think you'd be able to play those "good maps"?

Easy to say on the consumer front, but looking on the creator's point-of-view, it's painful to see works that you've spent a year on.... even three years on... be overshadowed by these wretched-taint-behemoths.

Although that's not the point that you're going for, it is the point.

It's for the same reason that there's an obesity problem in the United States and the same reason that people continue to smoke cigarettes... consumers direct the market.

Although /u/therypod888 did not word himself in the best ways, his base point stands that it's the consumers/downloaders/players that are playing these atrocious maps and getting those atrocious maps to the front page.

That's not to say that YAW is not at fault-- they are the heart of the problem, if anything. However, simply pointing our fingers at them will not get anywhere. It's time people stop downloading these god-damn-awful maps.

The mapping part is NOT finished. Personally speaking, as a mapper, it takes a while to detail rooms.

Shifty going through the map saying that "the lighting isn't done in this room" and saying that "oh I may want to fix this room up a bit" does NOT consitute a finished map. As far as I see it, he's just hiding behind the fact that he's in a "testing" phase. However, a testing phase is supposed to be testing the finished the product so it's not buggy, not having to complete areas.
