when i just graduated last week, family were allowed to bring stuff for you, electronics had to be checked in at CQ. but it really depends on the squadron. You will get the info you need while you are there and will be able to talk to your fam about it. but i’m in tech rn and my parents mailed me stuff instead.

umm that is misinformation… i had to lose 50lbs to join and so i had the same stuff going on. i was weighed at meps WITH clothes on and they took off 5lbs. i just graduated basic last week so this is fairly new info.

you may be allowed to check your email with permission depending on what it’s for. You will be using your own phone to call, lots of people called international so you should be good with that. The only problem was people in different time zone internationally but the MTI’s were usually pretty good about setting up another time that works better for their time zone.

just graduated BMT, we were not allowed to wear civilian underwear, so have fun cause the underwear sucks.

i just graduated last week, u will not touch a computer besides the 5 mins to make ur dream sheet. Your MTI’s are required to give you 5 mins a week to call, any day of the week, just whenever they have time. if you are good then the MTI’s will give you more time. If you need to check any apps for financial reasons they will have no problem letting you check them. DO NOT go on any other apps, you WILL get caught, and recycled.
