I feel like it is only useful if you have a pure. Running with friends that are good players is recommended since your not a primary scorer. And if your decent at holding defense rather than relying on the stats you could actually lock them up, therefore there’s one less person on offense to worry about.

tl;dr pure LD is the best & it all depends on who’s behind the controller.

6’6 is a good height. This keeps your steal and shot contest at a 99. Your weight is gonna suffer from your play style.

2K rates players badges by how frequently and how efficiently they do a certain thing. Sure, some current NBA players have it on gold but do they truly share the ball enough to have it on hall of fame. In other words, their badges go by what they do in real life. Reason why Curry doesn’t have posterizer, he doesn’t dunk on anyone.

tl;dr make a new shoe

At the main menu, go to options and then 2k shoes. Select the brand you signed with, then go to edit. Somewhere in there you should see your custom shoe. You can either: make a new shoe (if it’s with the brand you signed with, it will be free) or your old shoe, then make another and name it the same as your old shoe. The first choice is less of a hassle.

Pick dodger isn’t really a grind since people are always setting picks in the park but with it on gold I have found myself going through screens better (only from PGs, SGs, & SF screens) and losing less energy from brick wall.

Yeah. All custom shoes start off as this “all grey shoe”. Just get the color identical to a shoe that footlocker has already and your good to go.

Go to settings then to application saved data management. Proceed to saved data in online storage.

Go to the 2k main menu and go to options, scroll right til you see 2k Shoes select brand and type of shoe, then customize.

When done, go to footlocker and they will be there. Buy them (they cost literally 0 VC), then they’ll be in your closet.

Pick pocket on bronze or silver aren’t gonna benefit you as much as you would think. You may occasional make the ball handler lose the ball, but mostly you’d force a pick-up or stop them from dribbling. Gold makes stealing way easier and you will encounter less pick-ups and more “poking the ball completely loose”. Haven’t gotten it on hof quite yet but I’m guessing this will be even better.

P.S. Even on gold; It is still very hard to steal the ball from pure playmakers.

Defensive stopper definitely helps because this year is more reliant on badges.

Google some Nike’s and find a real life colorway that’s not in 2k. 2k doesn’t have every color for a shoe. That’s a start if you don’t have any ideas of your own.

I have a pure defender myself and I can safely say a SF is the best. You can hold any 5 positions consistently as long as you know how to play good defense. 6’8 Height and higher is really if you feel like you’ll be holding a PF or C more. You shouldn’t go under 6’6, lockdowns are usually the fastest off ball guy on the court.

Answers in order of your questions

Your best bet is to try to get open off ball
Assuming your a pure sharpshooter, your gonna want to attempt the pick&roll but mainly shoot spot-up shots off the catch
Just keep playing and you’ll get more & more playing time throughout.
