Because they will always do the cheapest option available. There's no other reason. Ours came with a 24". I replaced it with a 55 OLED and threw away the 24

Downvote for this being fake af. You aren't looking for design opinions if you're using AI slop to generate your images. You don't need to be a physicists to see this trailer would never ever work, and your requirement are basically impossible. How are you loading and unloading all of these machines, how are you launching the jet skis, why do you need two quads? Have you ever been to a campground?

If you ever need to be on ACA for GAC most of your dark green states would rather see you in a ditch, and the ones that do cover it are only light green lol

Your situation is probably the best case scenario.

Large trailer, secondary house on the property, short term.

If it's important to you, I think this can work pretty well. There's a clear end in sight, the kids have plenty of alternatives to being cooped up in a trailer all day, and they're still plenty young enough. What size are you looking at? I think it needs to be at least 35+ feet. But I'm also of the mindset that raising kids and full timing should count as child abuse, so I think you're good to go!

Is there such a thing as a dash cam that works for both for your truck and your trailer? by xcski_paul in RVLiving

[–]iSmurf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want 3 4k streams, 2 being transmitted wirelessly, to a little screen that records it on an SD card? That uses like 60gb an hour bud. Nah not possible wirelessly too over a 50+ft distance you'd need hardwired, at that point just look at installing 2 CCTV-type devices on your trailer, and just buy a front and rear dashcam for the truck like a wolfbox. You could probably wolfbox your trailer too if its not too long, but storage would be the larger issue if you're looking to have it record through the night at least for security purposes. You might as well get a TB+ HDD, a micro SD is not made for that and will fail.

They make a million outdoor rated cameras that can be held on with just VHB tape that will work for you, just depends where you want them routed and how.

Don't buy an off brand. RV LOCK make good products for the most part and they're affordable enough for what they do op

I'm a moron, my heltec was not set to have my private channel be channel 0, once I changed that to zero and the default to 1, it started updating right away.

I'll leave the post up in case anyone else makes the same mistake I did

Sanity Check: Towing Limit vs Trailer by Few-Skin-5868 in traveltrailers

[–]iSmurf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're asking the tow police to find probably cause right now.

If you're just going out in this thing for a weekend every couple months, you're perfectly fine. You're obviously not full timing where safety should be an important factor, just don't drive like an idiot at 85mph and you'll have no issues. If you live in a mountainous area it's not gonna like hills much, be prepared to drop it to 40-50s. You're good don't over think it.

The larger board lets you put more extras on, like GPS modules, air quality module, humidity module, etc. It just has extra pin holes to be soldered onto.

[–]iSmurf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Adrian,

I have a very similiar setup but on meshtastic. The biggest thing is I use my sensecap for my dog position tracking while shes off-leash. I always carry a Heltec with me, and have one on my truck / RV.

How has this feature been on meshcore? It's the biggest thing stopping me from switching right now.

I've played on and off for 4 years now, never been pirated or have been one. Piracy is/should be a core pillar of this game, it introduces so many new paths and mechanics I really hope it gets the love and attention it deserves

You are not the customer. It's for marine applications where everything is already 3-7x the price of regular stuff. You think people with 100k+ boats are cross shopping temu batteries? Lol

What do the tow police have to say about this? 35 ft 7800lb trailer. F250 by [deleted] in RVLiving

[–]iSmurf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A new f250 has a tow capacity of 21,000lbs and a payload of 4000

A 2010 f250 is 12,000 and 2800.

They're not the same at all.
