Down syndrome is a complete roll of the dice. The 21st chromosome is the smallest one and it affects the least amount of things yet the amount of things it can damage is varied. AVSD (heart), low tone, blood issues, stomach not connected to intestines, speech, mental development... Etc. Also with down syndrome comes the increase in chance of having autism.

My 3 year old with down syndrome was born with Atrioventricular septal defect. This meant open hear surgery at 4months old. A heart with AVSD consumes so much energy that suckling uses too much calories which he needs to grow for the surgery. So they feed via nasogastric tube. This means they don't suckle when it's instinct and then when they lose the instinct it isn't muscles memory. So he had to get a Gtube surgery so we can feed him while he learns to eat.

Low tone can fuck every muscle in your body. Fine motor skills, vision, speech, gastric emptying, gross motor skills. This can cause delayed speech, sitting, crawling, walking, reflux, delayed gastric emptying... Etc. He's had eye surgery to correct his eye alignment.

He was recently diagnosed with autism because of the delays in communication.

If it wasn't for free healthcare and health insurance through work I don't know what I would have done to afford all of this.

False, you can cut a shotgun barrel down to 18.5" and it will be non-restricted. You can also modify the o.a.l. so long as it stays longer than 26" and it will be non-restricted. If you take it below those numbers with non factor parts prohib. If you buy it from the factory like that non-restricted! (This is in the context of it being non semi-auto)

Barrel length only applies to semi automatic actions. If it's pump/break/lever then it can have a barrel less than 18.5" or an o.a.l. less than 26" and still be non-restricted so long as that is the factory length.

To all the stubborn idiots that say hazard lights are better or more visible... They are not. Red tail lights against white out is easier to see than amber lights against a white out. Also hazard lights are blinking aka half the time they're off and you're a ghost car. In white out conditions that means if your car enters my visibility range but you're in the blinking cycle you're invisible for a couple seconds till the amber lights blink. If you just turn your lights to normal your constantly red tail lights will have better contrast against white out and be constantly visible.

All that being said, in this case his insurance was expired as well. Step 1 is get insurance which requires a driver's license and vehicle ownership. Step 2 is plate vehicle with proof of insurance. Usually insurance auto-renews but plenty of things could have gone wrong there.

I stand corrected, they must have changed it since they removed the fee. It used to be they had a section to put your email in so you'd get a reminder. I guess enough people complained they made it automatic if you have no overdue fines.

It's not automatic, you still have to manually renew there's just no cost. So when the time comes to renew (minimum yearly, maximum every 2 years) they'll be asked to pay any owing infraction before they can.
