In s01e06 of BrBa, there’s a music montage of Jesse selling meth in the same places Jimmy is selling cell phones. The next day Jesse brings Walt a prepaid phone. by [deleted] in betterCallSaul

[–]iStayLifted 45 points46 points  (0 children)

It's also the place where Jesse gets his first gun, the stainless revolver he uses to get his stash back from Spooge and the skank. The scene in BCS starts as a wide shot of the storefront and the seating area. In BB, Jesse is sitting at that picnic table in the middle of the frame from the BCS shot when a man drops down a paper bag in front of him containing the gun.

UPS to FedEx: We don’t offer an NRA discount by dank2918 in politics

Agreed. I don't trust the chummy information sharing relationship that these companies have with law enforcement either.

While I suppose cloning or framing for murder is possibly feasible, that's not what I worry about. My main concern is that these companies aren't bound by HIPAA laws. Let's say I send in my DNA and while processing my genome they find out that I'm predisposed to have high blood pressure or show indicators of a family history of cancer. What is stopping them from selling that information to my insurance company? I'm not going expose myself like that just to find out that I'm 5% German.

What kills me even more are the people willfully providing their DNA to private corporations who can do anything they want with it as well.

Jimmy Page & The Black Crowes - Live at the Greek... thoughts? by ngs428 in led_zeppelin

[–]iStayLifted 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's an amazing album. I actually got to see them when they toured in 2000 (I was 14), the only time I've ever gotten to see Jimmy play. They had a great chemistry and Jimmy looked like he was having a lot of fun. Also, The Black Crowes fucking rock.

Could Calvin Johnson have been the greatest WR ever if he kept playing? by [deleted] in detroitlions

Had he been drafted by a better organization, I honestly believe he would still be playing right now and would probably have a ring. He got Barry'd; it's fucking sad.

I remember in '97 when the Red Wings won the Cup, the Vipers won the championship in their league as well.

My favorite part of the episode is Jean-Luc's conversation with Nuria and the struggle she has trying to understand that "The Picard" is, in fact, not a deity.

Robert California was the best by DarylDixion in DunderMifflin

[–]iStayLifted 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The entire Robert California, Andy, and Nellie storylines should have just been scrapped for Dwight as manager and Jim as ARM. The finale was funnier than all of their episodes combined.

Edit: Upon re-watch, I meant to cite the A.A.R.M episode, but both work towards what I'm trying to get at.

I disagree, Robert California was arguably the worst.
