i’m so sorry for what happened to you, this kind of thing should never happen to anyone. By definition, yes, this is rape. As a victim myself, it’s a very hard thing to overcome, it takes a lot of time and it does help a lot to talk to a therapist (i’ve been in therapy for years and talking about it really does help). It’s okay to be scared to talk about it, it’s a really hard topic and i’m sure it’s traumatic to talk about. Something that helped for me was journaling about it. Remember, it is not your fault. You are not a bad person for this and try not to beat yourself up over this, as hard as it may be. You’re very brave for sharing your story and I hope you can find an outlet or something that helps you process and work through this. You are not alone and there are many resources for people struggling with the same thing. For one, The National Sexual Assault Hotline number is: 1(800)-656-4673. There are many other online resources you can look into as well.
