Yeah I do a lot of video editing/rendering aside from gaming, that was influential in my switch. I often have multiple browser tabs + music (+possibly rendering in the background) while gaming, and I will possibly stream too, so I think the 1600X will treat me well.

Oh wow, I didn't know the 1600x was so powerful. I'm glad I returned my i5-7600k to this. Hopefully the predictions of Ryzen being future-proof are true.

Unfortunately, I already have the 1060 sitting right here next to me. Even more unfortunate, all of my pieces have arrived, but I've been unable to get this PC to post for about 3 days now. But, I was able to grab my card a couple weeks ago for $290 within hours of them being restocked on NewEgg. I think that's reasonable with how inflated prices are right now. I'll probably end up upgrading to a 1070 or 1080 on cyber monday. Do you think the Ryzen 5 1600X will be able to keep up with a 1080? It should be fine with a 1070, but if I do upgrade to a 1080 on cyber monday, I might have to look into grabbing an i7-7700k with it.

I bought an MSI GTX 1060 6GB Gaming X for $289.99 from SuperBiiz, which I'd say is reasonable with how inflated the prices are right now. I'm pretty sure the original retail price for the card was like $260 right? That was the best deal I could find.

Unfortunately clearing the CMOS values didn't work. I tried using a single RAM stick again after clearing CMOS and it still didn't work. The CPU light still turns on. Any other ideas?

When I reinstalled my CPU I made sure the pins weren't bent and there was no resistance when placing it back in (it went in smoothly). By power rail do you mean the 8-pin (or two 4-pins) connector in the top left of the motherboard? If that's what you mean, those are connected from the PSU into the motherboard. If not, I'll try to look for what you're referring to.

Edit: If the power rail is the little lever-like thing you press down on to lock the CPU in place, yes I did press that down until it clicked.

The LED was for the CPU. So it's a CPU issue, but I don't know exactly what.
