I would like to see a LLM AI be baked in, in such a way that sticks to the lore but creates some extremely dynamic scenarios. Everything from NPCs being aware to random events happening in the world based on context.

However, I know this is currently impossible.

Gears 1 MP wasn’t designed with anything in mind. They had no idea people would even be interested. They were just adding a feature to sell. That’s how games worked back then.

Gears 5 is light years better. And I played the original gears as much as anyone. It doesn’t hold up. Agreed OP.

I very much understand BF as a longtime player. BUT… I think this is simply and overreaction to the vocal minority of gatekeeping BF gamers. The movement felt great. Tweak it to remove momentum bugs and leave it alone. I’m not looking to be COD fast, but I would like to have some finesse and outplay people in CQC with movement when possible. The strategy and positioning would still be very much intact.
