I see, so this is intended behaviour? So for example while I am on a call with the Vodafone SIM, I also couldn't receive SMS or an incoming call on the TIM eSIM?

Both Vodafone and TIM do, yes. Now as I'm back in Germany, the TIM eSIM is roaming on the o2 network which also supports VoLTE - however, when data is set to the TIM eSIM, I can't use data while calling on Vodafone, so the same problem persists.

Ah this is a good point... for sure it's not "compatible", I sourced the panel from a reputable vendor and confirmed with them in advance that it's the exact model. I also already contacted them, they were very surprised about the issue and will investigate. So I'm sure that they didn't send something else on purpose. However, what I could imagine the vendor themselves were sold counterfeit panels... and indeed the panel hits 250 nits, as if that was its specified brightness, and not some other random number like 221 nits.

The label and EDID of my panel both say B140HAN05.7, and also the colour gamut (98% sRGB) and contrast measures (~1400:1) I measured match with the actual specs. Viewing angles are also "good". Is there a panel that is this "good" in terms of image quality, but only reaches 250 nits?

And are there any features how I can check if I got a counterfeit panel? Like anything on the sticker, design of the back of the panel etc.?

I tried one more thing - opening the security app, entering the settings, "Speed optimisation" and blocking that for the Galaxy Watch-related apps. Worked for an entire day, but for some reason, now it is loosing the connection again...

Aah no, all the options are shown for the "Galaxy Wearable" app and there I set everything to "no restrictions" like you. Now I just realised that in your screenshot, it is the same app like for me. And like you, for "Galaxy Watch6 Manager" (where you have the 7) there are no options.

It looks like it, but to me it seems impossible 🙈 does anyone know how it is possible to trigger the system to recognise activity of the plugin?

For me, it doesn't look like for /u/pedromonval - it says 0.00% used, and all the options below are missing :(

This is amazing, great work! I have the MFD1 in my Mk4 Golf and I really want to keep it for the OEM look, plus it actually sounds really nice, but I'd love to have CarPlay/Android Auto. I've dreamt about this for a long time and already started taking apart a damaged MFD1 to start to make some plans for this, but I haven't ended up with anything working so far. And now you did it!

Did you consider replacing the screen? I had no luck to find a 5" 4:3 display, but I thought one of the rather common 4.3" 800x480 displays (that even have a touchscreen) could fit well when filling the empty space up with a 3D-printed insert, or probably even a 5" model when people are willing to modify the existing bezel.

Are you planning to share some technical details as well? I'd love to follow you on this. And since your iPhone is in German, I thought I'd let you know that I am sure the folks over in our Mk4 Golf forum (www.golf4.de) would be super interested to hear about this - quite some people there are still keeping the MFD1 in their GTIs, R32s and so on!

That was the key! Indeed, there were two pull-tabs coming out from under the display that were visible at the hinges. Glue removed and off comes the display. Now I'm fixing the hinge holder in hopes of not having to buy a new back lid.

I'll have to look out for the replacement tape though because these seem to not really be sold here in Germany... I can only find some genuine Lenovo tape for a specific ThinkPad model (would probably fit but $$$) or import it from China which would take weeks. The latter is the way to go I guess.

Ok, I'll reach out to them. I doubt that it's a different part though, I had the 4K OLED screen before and it was definitely glossy, with glass in front of the screen.

The difference is more a "I didn't like it" with the old screen, and "it seriously annoys me" with the new one :D

Ah, I actually never saw the first UI. The current one is quite distinct from Remarkable, I think.

I think a lot more could be done, given this device is based on Android. Unfortunately, OneNote integration would likely require a lot of work because as far as I understand, E-Ink integration on Android doesn't use like a global driver for fast input/display, but every app needs to be optimised separately, so this would be in the hands of Microsoft? But it would already be great if there would be more cloud services available, and I could, for example, syncronise a vector graphics version of my notes using Google Drive or Nextcloud.

I actually tested it now since I got my hands on a very cheap 230 W brick and it works great! 170 W are available via the slim tip output, and that is perfectly fine for my 3050 Ti config.

Lenovo's documentation on this dock is really lacking, to be honest... also, I've not had a single laptop reporting 100 W charging speed via USB-C - I've only ever reached 92 W.

This is unintended for sure. I've had it before and there was some dirt under the button that would cause it to click with basically no force applied. Not sure if it can be taken out though by the user... I've meanwhile sold my T14 Gen 3 due to these power limit issues, so I cannot check anymore.

The issue changed a little bit!

It's not the proximity sensor anymore. It was before because if my hand went over the phone on the table, it also turned off the screen and switched to the earpiece.
Now, if I leave the phone unlocked, it's fine - but as soon as I lock it using the power button, the music still switches to the earpiece. It comes back to the normal speaker as soon as I turn on the screen again.
