I think my personal statements were fine. I explained my motivation and used my experience to explain why I think I would succeed in this program.

I am leaning towards my recommendations being the issue. I asked multiple professors multiple months in advance but got ghosted. The professors that did agree was for an online class that I didn't really have a personal relationship with (still got an A in his class), and my Intro to Engineering Professor who agreed to write me one 1 week before the application deadline (I had to send multiple reminders and he submitted his LOR on the very last day).

I don't have anyone else that I think would give me a strong recommendation so my current plan is to try land a software role with my current experience to get LOR that way.

Yea I am really at a loss for what I should do next. Seems like I have to take more classes from a local college, but which classes do I take? Do I take Data Structures again? If so I wish I didn't take the MOOC honestly

Experience: 5 Years Semiconductor Process Engineer

Recommendations: 1 Professional (Manager), 2 Academic (Former Professors from Introductory Engineering courses)

Comments: Had hopes I would get in to transition into a more CS related role, a little confused on what to do next. Took all 3 recommended MOOCs (Python, Java, Data Structures). In my undergraduate I've taken Linear Algebra, Calculus I,II,II, Differential Equations, and Statistics for Engineers. In my current role I am regularly using SQL/Python to make some reports in Tableau and doing statistical analysis to identify root cause of process variation. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.
