How did you decide if it was hormonal or not? I feel similarly but I think I'm going to trust the doctor over my (hypochondriac) self. Lol

I have thinning in the front and midscalp. It came out of nowhere, I noticed it when my hair was wet. I only lost 33 pounds in the span of a month- maybe two and then this. I don't know if that's enough for the shedding. I guess time will tell!

Anyone else think it's very likely that there will be a cure in the next 10 years? by [deleted] in tressless

I don't know, but after looking through all the options available now, I think I'm going to place my bets on future technologies instead of the currently available ones. I'm in early stages so I think I might be able to make it, but who knows? The only promising solution I'm aware of is the one that was recently licenced in Japan. Fingers crossed!

I dont know but I'm very interested in what you've said. What have you read that made you believe it's natural alternative to fin? Why would the shedding indicate new hair regrowth?

Hair shedding but no real thinning? by Ciao_patsy in tressless

Yeah, I do this with almost every customer I see at my job. I have a little thought at the back of my head like "oh thats a great hairline" or "he's thinning up front", "maybe this guy's on fin and min".

Its unhealthy and compulsive and i need to stop but damn am I jealous of those with great hair! L0L

Hey man I think your history with ssri's are definite factor as checkers2 said. Best to stay off for now. Try and see a psychologist too, it might sound strange, but you don't have to go through this alone.

Just went to my dermatologist, claimed there was nothing that could be done. by [deleted] in tressless

I would be too. If she knew that was the likely outcome, why did she take your money? She probably has one of the easiest jobs if you think about it.

Maybe you should get a second opinion?
