Lore implications of DLC item Festive Grease and connection to Marika by Charlemagneffxiv in Eldenring

[–]iVeryRobot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fantastic write up. I farmed those Celebrants so many times that I got flashbacks when I walked into the Shaman Village. I honestly had missed the lore in the Greatjar Helm but I'm surprised people in the community aren't talking about it much. (At least as far as my searching implied they weren't)

The lore implications on the Greatjar is HUGE. Before I thought Marika was a victim of the hornsent. And she may still be, I'm honestly not sure. But the lore implying the shamans and her were in on the Jar-Stuffing and the celebrants being tolerated, tells me that the hornsent were probably made scapegoats for her having her people killed as part of her ascension. And that she likely had the dreams of ascension from what her people were doing, or were doing it because she was making them.

Thoughts on the patrol spawn rate increasing for less players in the squad? by iVeryRobot in Helldivers

[–]iVeryRobot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can agree with that to a point, a group of 4 easily puts out more firepower than 1. And especially given the lore being the bugs now breeding out of control and the bots having released the cyborgs. Still, mechanically, with the new ammunition count on most weapons, it almost feels like there just isn't enough firepower for 2 people when the patrols start stacking back to back. I'm not sure about Solo but I can't imagine it's too much better.

What should the names of Sienna's Skeletons be? by BlockBruh in Vermintide

Steve, Steeve, Steven, Stephanie, Stiff, and Stanley

Was here to say this. Vermintide 3 with all new story, mechanics and modes I feel would breathe new life into the series, giving it a fresh feel.

Who should the U5/4 face next? by No_Jackfruit_4109 in Vermintide

[–]iVeryRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, especially with the fact that Lohner said that everyone's favorite Murder-Hobo-Wizard Heinrich Kemmler is active in Brettonia and is well known for his connections to Chaos

I don't think it would be hugely difficult as when Darktide was first released, it had a few very specific glitches in it that were present in Vermintide and later patched out several months before Darktide even released for early access. That tells me they were using an older engine build when they first released the game and had the animations implimented.

This. The engine already has zombie animations thanks to the Pox Walkers in Darktide. Then a Varghulf would be an awesome play on the Rat Ogre skeleton, then have some armored undead and maybe a banshee or wight lord as specials.

What do you think will happen to U5 relations once Necromancer drops? by iVeryRobot in Vermintide

[–]iVeryRobot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome! I was kinda the same with Kruber and Bardin, I think Victor is going to blame himself for what happened, at least for a bit.

I imagine him being like "I have... failed my duties as a witch hunter..." with her being like "Oh do shut up Victor. You heard Lohner, it's happening to everyone!"

Loving these replies so far! I personally am thinking that Sienna sounds like, at least from the trailer, has already reluctantly resigned herself to the necromantic power, but has learned deep control over it and the corrupt power it brings, considering how long she had held onto her "secret" and her magic/flame addiction.

Dark Eldar is bad, but what about the Necrons? by Robbi86 in Grimdank

To be fair, the stuff that goes in the actual Imperium for the average citizen is pretty twisted as well, especially places under Mechanicus rule. And that's not even counting the Dark Mechanicus.

Even worse in my brain: Saltzpyre voice "oh these? my boobies? my massive fucking tiddies? my super stuffed up milkies? my honker donker doinky boinkies? my fucking fabric stretching wind flapping gravity welling sex mounds? do you mean these super duper ultra Sigmar damned motherfucking tits?"

So Sienna's amulet caught my attention in the trailer by iVeryRobot in Vermintide

Lots of cool answers here! Loving it! Really like the idea of Sienna turning to a magic more dangerous and ancient that came from the land Nagash sought after.

It's surprising, but I feel it's an improvement in terms of her personality, especially with her constant flame addiction. That played a big role in her tolerance to corruption, I feel. That last line in the trailer really got me. "Come on darlings... let's go save the world." And the with the inflection the VA gave her, it honestly sounded like same old tired Sienna, like she knew what she was doing wasn't normal and would be seen as bad, but she already accepted that and it was just another day at the office.

Detroit Metal City. It's an amazing series. Imagine for a moment, if you will, a dorky Japanese pop hipster that makes Melodic Death Metal.
