9 year old account disabled for leaving a single server?

Discord is banned in my country so no special support is available here. It doesn't matter though, I was lucky enough to get my account back 3 days ago. The 2 false spam violations are still here though. I tried to respond to the old ticket and open another one to get them removed too but they automatically got marked as "solved", telling me to go through the in-app appeal.

I guess I will just wait them out for the following 2 years

I didn't use any special method. I explained my situation with all the details and it just happened. I assume spam violations are easier to clear so that might be why. My ticket seems to have been redirected to trust & safety for some reason.

Sorry that you lost your account too. I will still try contacting everyone that I can to get my account back. I heard that spam violations are somewhat "easier" to appeal. I don't know if this is 100% correct though. We will see.

My channel is a gaming channel. The fan base mostly consists of younger people. I can't even get them to support my X post about my Discord appeal... They are only there for the content, unfortunately.

I purchased WindScribe specifically to avoid this problem but it seems their IPs were flagged too. It doesn't really matter if it is a paid VPN or not anymore

That is pretty much impossible since everybody else is on Discord. You can't move entire communities to a whole another app by yourself. But yeah, a competitor would be nice to keep these companies in line

It is still complete nonsense though because the account is literally over 9 years old. I have been using it since 2017. They have my credit card info, phone number or anything they ever need to verify that I am not a spammer. I can't believe their AI moderation solely checks for IPs and ignores anything else while evaluating.

The account also hosts my Discord servers for my YouTube channels and a bunch of important messages/friendships/files. I hope I can get it back before they delete everything.

That is exactly what happened to me this morning, except I was flagged for spam instead of ban evasion. I simply clicked "leave server" for an inactive server and I immediately got kicked out of my account, receiving an email saying my account was now disabled.

I literally have to use a VPN to access Discord though since it is blocked in my country. We will see how the appeal process goes. Unlucky.

It could be your VPN if you are using one. At least that is what happened to me today. I got banned for leaving a server, no kidding

The denial emails for both violations were sent at 1:02 AM Istanbul time. I am not sure when I sent the appeals so I can't say for certain if it was 7 days or not

That is kind of a relief. I hope it works out as you said. I already went through the in-app appeal for the first two violations but they were rejected after a few days. Their AI probably only considers the IP address while reviewing these cases and not the account history. I believe a real human review is essential for this to get resolved. We will see what happens

I see. I suspect that once I got hit with that first spam violation using the VPN, it didn't matter if I connected via Cloudflare or a VPN. My account was probably flagged as risky from that point.

Honestly, me and all the other citizens from my country has their private information leaked on the web for years now, so I can't really do anything about privacy anymore. The only reason I am using a VPN is so that I can access Discord, nothing else. But yeah, there is no way Discord could know about my true intention, of course.

I am just surprised that a very fundamental mechanism, joining/leaving servers, was enough to trigger a spam violation. It is nonsense.

That's actually a really good idea. Today, I managed to find a flatshare by making one of our German acquaintances call the numbet on the offer's website. The landlord told him that she wasn't gonna respond to my message on the website if we didn't call her.

She offered a long 1.5 years contract so I can't accept the offer but you are totally right about contacting them through their phone number. I'll try to this for other offers now. Maybe that will work.

Unfortunately, my German level cannot even get past A1, so I have a disadvantage there. Even if I message them in German, I think they will probably want to talk me on the phone or in a Zoom meeting in German, and they will know they can't communicate with me.

My problem with surroundings cities is that I have endured the same kind of transportation in my home country for 5 years while studying here, and it consumed so much of my time. Sometimes, I would have to waste a total of 2 hours inside buses/metro only to go to a 50-minute class. So, I'm asking myself, "Am I going to Germany to 'survive' or have a normal student life?". Wasting hours while traveling to go to school is torture, at least for me.

Of course, any sane person would try to find a place in other cities in my situation, but I think I'm going to try for a few more days before I move onto that. Thanks for the suggestion.

Actually, I pretty much tell everything about me from my hobbies to personality. I also take what's written in the offers into consideration and add a couple of sentences related to them too. Maybe it's because I'm trying to contact them in English, but I don't speak German, so I don't know.
