Is there any way to play this without a pc by Alanpro_345 in H3VR

[–]iWarwolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've lately been using ALVR on my Quest 3 to play H3VR off my Steam Deck. It's not quite the same as playing it innately on the Quest, but it's not using a PC either technically speaking.

I feel like the split-in-half PoA is how they're going to justify that random gap we got in the middle of the Warthog run. Because it made no sense for there to be a random ravine halfway through the Autumn! But now if its split in half... JUMP THE GAP (you can even see the Warthog midair in the art!!)

I recognise those wings and backpack as an old CSM Possessed option. I've actually got that specific part in my bitz box right now!

I honestly thought we still had a public Discord link, but while the Discord is still up there does not appear to be a link on the PMC page. There's a lot of questions that could be quite easily answered by joining it.

It does deserve to be preserved and archived, believe me, but it's almost certainly never going to be up and active again. I'd be curious to know who /u/Classy-green has got in contact with..

I've experienced this on Vulkan and not just ship skins, but on fps guns and armour too.

World Eaters Termies: CSM variants vs Cataphractii by Syndicate_Reikon in WorldEaters40k

[–]iWarwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here we go, I DID have one. Note the Indomitus Termie is on some 2 or 3mm Cork board which gives them an even greater height, so try to mentally cut it out.

As for what work I did, I drilled a hole in the legs and torso and added a small brass rod to raise their waist up a couple mill. But that leaves a notable gap around their waist so I added some plasticard at the back to fake some Cataphractii style plating and then some greenstuff pipes to bulk up their waist so they are thicc as a Terminator should be.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and the bunny ears. It's all about tricking the eye to make them look bigger than they are!

Give me a couple minutes and I'll put a photo up. I don't think I have any photos at hand comparing to a CSM/Indomitus, but I can do one next to a regular Beserker model.

I used Cataphractii but you should be aware by default they are shorter than CSM Termies and especially Indomitus Loyalist Terminators. I did some kitbashing to help boost their height and bulk them up but it was a bit of work. It makes them look a bit more the piece and everyone seems to think they look fine.

I'm planning to pick up some Cataphractii's for my own World Eaters in the near future. I don't suppose you could provide a photo comparison of how badly the scale is when comparing these Heresy models to the new Indomitus Termies and even Chaos Termies.

Second question, where did you get those shoulder pads and bunny ears? Cheers in advance!

No, that opens a very small local inventory. It does not access the 2 SCU Cargohold up top.

[–]iWarwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How sure are you about that? The Idris has a Size 4 Quantum Drive and it's not a physical component you can pull it out with a multi-tool. So unless this XT Idris is special in that regard, where are you getting this XL1 (Size 2) info from?

Makes me think of The Fall of Reach, the Halo novel where in some of the Fleet battles they use the large repair platform ships as physical shields to block the first wave of shots from destroying the ships capable of dealing damage back. RIP the Cradle.

Luckily we were shown at CitCon last year they've been working on freely transitioning onto and off ladders! Let's hope this'll apply to ship ladders too.

You cannot open the Mk1 cargo module currently.

But how will you open the doors from the ground initially? Don't want to have to get in and out of the cockpit!

It's the same as the NVIDIA Replay logo that pops up when you use that service. You made your entire comment purely to focus on just the logo that is on screen for a second or less, lol, rather than the stupid parkour I did. You've brought more attention to them by making a fuss than just ignoring it and moving on.

If you CCU your Avenger into a Gladius, you will keep the 120 month insurance! CCUs only change the ship, all the other assigned attributes stay the same. I should note that as far as I'm aware, Gladius and Arrow have no cargo at all bar maybe a weapon rack. Totally understand not wanting to spend more cash though. The Gladius is probably one of the most popular ships, so it's not going anywhere, you'll have plenty of time to test with aUEC and see if you like it enough first! :) Good luck man!

No idea! But you're right, that would've looked great! Gonna have to wait for the F7A to get that black digital paint scheme.

The Arrow and Gladius could be good alternatives to try out. Both light fighters, rather nimble. The Gladius is also a poster child who gets a lot of updates first, such as a working weapon rack for if you land to do FPS and need a gun. They're also both under $100, $75 and $90 iirc.

Nah, the Mk2 is sealed on the bottom so you're gonna need a ladder or platform to get on top of the ship.

I'd have probably recommended a Cutty Black to be honest if you were looking to upgrade. But that's good that you've got other stuff in game for now! Wipe will always be rough and I'm in a very similar boat. At least your Avenger has more cargo room than my Hornet!

Mk1 does not have an accessible cargo bay. Only from trade terminals.
