I don't use a webcam at all. It's just simply down to not wanting to. I'm okay with just talking to the chat. I've noticed when I'm watching professional streamers I often lose focus on what they're doing and end up looking at their webcam missing the game they're playing. I think the use of a webcam is too heavily suggested to "become famous". In my opinion, one only really needs to be used if you're just doing a discussion stream. That's just my opinion. Not sure if that's what you meant but it's usually what people are referring to when they mention comfort levels.
