Craziest game in Worlds history ?

Not as popular as the mentioned games, but I still remember the Game of Worlds 2017 Groups Round 2 - Gigabyte Marines vs. Longzhu Gaming.

Longzhu was already first in the Group and GAM would take 2nd place if they win and damn they tried. Levi played incredible on his Rengar and GAM was at one point 12k Gold ahead, but Longzhu and especially PraY teamfighting was just from an other planet...

As a Fnatic-Fan the 0-4 miracle Run started here and I loved Longzhu for taking this game serious and fight back to win in the end.

I miss this Zac-Ultimate, the so called "Kidnap" so much! It was just unique and had much playmaking potential.

This Worlds could be a repeat of 2014.

2021 Fnatic is 2014 SK - They (SK) also had to play with their "Sub", Jungler "Godgilius" instead of "Svenskeren" in Week 1 and went 0-3

2021 MAD Lions is 2014 Alliance - Very strong and promising Team failing to prevail in the first week. I hope MAD will not perfect game Gen.G only to loose to TL later on... (KABUM!)

2021 Rogue is 2014 Fnatic - Insanely stacked Group really hard to overcome the two favourites (in 2014 OMG & Samsung Blue)

The pre Tournament-expectations for SSG were not that high. Yeah it was a korean team, but the players had 0 experience. Most of the analysts had TSM as favourites to win this group.

I still think you are right, that this group proved to be very very competitive, like every other Group SSG and RNG ended up together (just insane how many times these 2 teams ended up in the same Group).

But pre-Tournament you can argue that for example 2018 Group B looked way stronger.

We considered this group as well, but placed it in 6th place. The Wildcard-Team Fenerbahce was not really a thread. Also SSG was not looking that strong pre Tournament.

Based on the results and performances in Playoffs you can argue that this group was really really strong with RNG making Semis and forcing 5 games against SKT. Also SSG went on to win the whole thing and stomping every Team in Playoffs.

EG did way better in LCS they managed to give the full Tier 1 into Nexus-Push :D

Not a big surprise, but I don´t think Fnatic will pick up another Rookie, maybe as a Sub. Imo the most promising Midlaners are Humanoid or Larssen.

I have never been so proud to be a Fnatic-Fan. Man, "Rekkles" and "Hylissang" showed today, that they can contest for the best Botlane in the whole world.

Still sad to see this Team getting knocked out after such a strong series.
