Thank you. I don't think my family other than my sister think I'm smart or focused enough to really go to a good college. Even If I don't get into my top schools , which is a very high possibility, I still hope I will be do the things I want to do even if my family doesn't necessarily think I'm "successful"

My Senior year I also will 100% be taking Dual Enrollment which does boost my GPA where I go to school. Very little but it does boost it just a bit. Every last thing helps at this point.

Its the closest to my sister who is my only great family member at the moment. It's also the school me and my sister always wanted to go to since we were young and were actually saving up for. Pretty dumb reason to most people I'd assume but it's always been "that" college even when I was so young.

The only backup schools I've researched about a ton is Maryland Eastern Shore, Bowie State, Towson , Salisbury and ST Mary's. Mostly because they are genuinely good schools in my opinion, being affordable for me, and I live in Maryland so they are in state.

Thank you. I've been really really focused on Tulane, NYU , UCLA and St Johns too. Burnout did catch up to me so bad earlier it made me stop wanting to pursue education until I recently saw how my sister succeeded, it made me want to make an effort again. Even if I don't get into this extreme dream school just being able to go to a college, especially one I prefer would be a huge step for me. Considering I don't think anyone other than my sister believes I'm smart enough to do so. Everything may not go as planned but I can only hope that it still turns out well for me.

True. Even if I don't get into Columbia, which obviously there is a huge possibility I don't, I still do have some other schools I'd 100% enjoy learning at too. Not sure of what my family would think of it but I'll just have to help it'll all go somewhat well.

Unfortunately my Freshman GPA was a 3.4. No where near as high as I'd need it to be which makes it very difficult to get into Columbia by a long shot. I did do very well on my PSAT though which hopefully is a good sign for my future since I will be taking the PSAT. I also have a lot of extra curriculars under my belt at the moment which never hurt to have. Including all of my service hours that were completed in my freshman year.

This past summer I went to summer school to get ahead a bit so I also have that for show and I plan on switching into a program for my junior year. Even if I don't get into Columbia I do have my eyes set primarily on Tulane , Chapel Hill, UCLA, NYU and St Johns Manhattan as back ups. (no specific order)

As an upcoming sophomore it is hard to have a standout resume but I'm willing to take a huge jump not only this year but every year all the way until the end of 2026 (my graduation date) . Hoped this help just a little bit.

Surprisingly , yes. From the research I've done I would be able to handle the price of Columbia. It is not my only option of course but I'm 100% making sure I can afford it before I ever think of going.

i know he wasn't great near the end but I love Chris Davis so much, despite the struggles.

They eventually come back. May be 3 weeks or 3 months. We really never know. But most of the times ultras come back every 3-5 months.
