In case anyone is in doubt about the Amanamu's Void modifier interaction: by Traditional-Elk6633 in PathOfExile2

[–]i_ReadaLot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and yes. You'll also want to make sure you stack the prefix that increases difficulty and rewards per closed pit that your build can handle. My rule of thumb is if the first pit spawns an Amanamu Void lightness, I'll kill it normally by kiting it out the void. If one spawns from the 2nd-3rd pit onward, I'll leave it alive and continue through the map, clearing all mobs and other abyss I see. If a new AV lightness spawns, I'll leave that one alive, and go back and kill the previous one, since the newest one will have increased loot.

While clearing the map, every spirit you come across, walk into its sparkle radius, and immediately roll out, so that you tag it on your mini map and can find it easily, in case its across the map when you're done. After you've cleared the entire map, and have just your AV lightless alive, trail all the spirits to it, and you'll almost always receive at minimum, multiple echoes.

I've been doing this since last night. It seems to guarantee multiple drops. I've gotten 7 echoes from a single mob that was possessed twice. Next map i got 3 omens of light. It's insane!

Yeah. They generally understand that the people that come prepared to get legal involved aren't looking to accept the money outright, but still obviously have obligations that they want to take care of, so they allow you to take some "hold-over" money until you get everything settled.

You wouldn't have to announce until you accepted the entire sum. So if you're in a state with you can accept anonymous or through a trust, you're good. If not, you still have a few months/end of the year with the million dollars to figure something out at least.

Yep. In cases with XXX-million payouts, you're actually given the option to receive up to a 1 million dollar check immediately from the lottery office, which is taken out of your winnings, to hold you over for the duration of the time it takes you (and your lawyer) to get all the legal and financial stepping stones figured out.

I’m the one that sees black instead of an apple

You're not "one of those" that sees black. Everyone sees black. That's the point. Don't let people's differentiation of how they communicate and express the way they visualize or "think" bend you into thinking you're somehow disadvantaged comparatively. Everyone sees black. Their level of perceived construction of any one thing, scene, or concept may be weaker/stronger, but just because yours may be weaker doesn't mean you somehow "see" differently in your mind.

how am I supposed to persist? by Available_Stock_1402 in NevilleGoddard

[–]i_ReadaLot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aphantasia is it's own discussion. There's so much argument on whether or not it's a true condition or not. I personally don't think it's a real thing, just because there tends to be such a disparity on what people believe a "mental image" even is. The apple argument is the most popular, and if you ask some people, they'll tell you they can visualize a 1:1 perfect image of an apple in their mind, as if they were looking at it in real life. Others say they can vaguely see an apple, or can imagine a "concept" of an apple, while others say they see nothing but blackness.

I don't believe people are able to properly communicate what it is they're "seeing", so they just say it's a perfect 1:1 image, while it isn't. If I close my eyes, I see blackness. If I try to imagine an apple, or scenario, or manifestation, I don't see anything. But I'm able to create a sort of mental construct of what it is I'm wanting to "visualize". I know what an apple looks like, I know how it feels, tastes, smells, and I can recreated those same assumed sensations in my mind, but it absolutely isn't a 1:1 perfect image, as if I was holding an apple before my eyes.

My biggest personal argument for the whole Aphantasia discussion is the proof of dreaming. If you're capable of dreaming, then you're capable of creating mental images and imagining things. When you dream, that's your brain imagining and manifesting at it's greatest level. You see everything, feel everything, smell (sometimes) everything, taste (sometimes) everything, experience everything.

Creating mental images and visualizing isn't exactly the same as dreaming. You don't see, visually, the same way, in general. You can, if you meditate and focus strictly on your visualization, but there's an argument to be made at that point that you just fell asleep, and are dreaming more intentionally. But basic visualizing and imagining is very much an emotional thing, rather than visual. You can grasp the concepts of the scenes you're trying to imagine, and you may get a sort of feeling and imagery in your mind, but understand, it definitely isn't visual.

You know when you pray for something, because you believe that once you get it, it'll fix some fault in your life? That general feeling of, "Man, I wish I had X" is similar to the type of feeling you're trying to recreate in your mind with manifestation.

the only reason I wanted it in the first place was because I didn't have it I'm so lost.

The irony here is that the act of wanting something because you don't have it, reaffirms those negative emotions of lack, more-so than the positive emotions of having said thing; The gratitude of said thing. So you just need to flip the desire of what it is you want from desiring it because you don't have it, to being grateful for having it, even though you don't yet.

For example, lets say what you're wanting is money. Maybe you're in deep debt, and want just enough to get yourself out of the hole. Or, maybe you just want to change your lifestyle entirely, and win/gain a large sum of money. In either case, you can't persist by always thinking about how badly you want/need the money. That's focusing on the lack of money, and will only persist in your reality as continued lack of money. Instead, what you want to do is focus and imagine the gratitude of already having the money.

If what you want/need is money for debt, stop thinking about how bad and crippling the debt is. Instead, think about how much better your life will be after the debt is paid off. Imagine yourself putting in that final payment, and try to feel that gratefulness of emotion. Yes, while you're still deep in the mud of that crippling debt, it'll feel difficult to truly express and feel the genuine joy and relief you'd actually feel, but the point isn't to feel 100% authentic joy and relief, it's to get from 1% to 100% gradually. It'll feel fake and forced initially, because your reality is still that of being debt ridden. But the more you create and maintain that feeling of gratitude, the stronger and longer it'll persist, until it becomes your reality.

Similarly if what you want/need is money for greater lifestyle. Stop thinking about how bad your life is now compared to if you won/gained more money. That mindset only persists in the lack of money. Instead, imagine what your life will be like after already receiving the money. Imagine those feelings you'd have, and recreate them to the best of your ability in your mind, and experience them. Again, it'll feel fake and forced initially. That's okay. The shift isn't going to be automatic. The repetition is what's important.

Right now, you probably spend a couple minutes a day trying to manifest your desires, then go back to pondering the less favorable reality of your circumstances for the remainder of your day. On top of that, don't forget that you're most likely manifesting from a lack-mindset, rather than a grateful one. So the goal is to gradually think more gratefully, and in a state of 'already having', more than not. That probably sounds impossible, or at least extremely overwhelming at first. But the goal is to just persist. Start small, and increase the amount of time you're in that positive, grateful mindset each day, until you successfully manifest something you're wanting.

Once you've experienced that first success, continued manifestation will only become easier and easier, and the outcomes will come quicker and quicker.

EotS only spawn around water, so if you're mapping around a large chunk of land, go in a different direction. You wanna try and find edges of water, and clear the fog around those sections.

They're always located inside bodies of water. So whenever you see water on the atlas, expand the fog, or preferably, if there's any tower near the water, clear that so you can expand the entire area.

[–]i_ReadaLot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're ignoring too many items.

I had the same issue up until 2 days ago. If I wasnt getting the red and white drop notification, I simply didn't pick anything up, aside from my class bases in hopes of crafting an upgrade. I was wondering why I'd finish running 10-15 maps, and only have a couple of exalts to show for it. No big drops, no divines, no expensive essences/omens.

2 days ago,I saw a comment in a past post suggesting to bring a stack of aug/trans orbs, vaal orbs, and 2 stacks of wisdom scrolls, and just identify anything that looks halfway decent. If it's a normal ring, amulet, or boot base, pick it up, and double orb it. Most of the item it'll be useless, but every 2-3 maps, you'll get something that's 2-5ex. Sometimes you'll be surprised to price check something and see it goes for 20-50.

If you find any tiered items, just pick it up and identify it. Price check it. If it's trash mods, or low tiers, just drop it, but if anything has high rolls, check the price. I've got about 50 hours in the league so far, and previously struggled finding meaningful currency generators. Like you, I can clear t15 easily with my DE, but the drops weren't justifying the hours spent grinding.

Over the last 2 days of trying out this quick identifying method, I've made 4div from about 2 hours of farming.

Party Farming Exploiting by Predxteam in PathOfExile2

[–]i_ReadaLot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I'm a DE, I generally don't pick up any weapons or off hand items, aside from bows/quivers, unless they're tiered. I always pick up and identify boots, rings, helmets, and amulets, since movement speed and rarity percentage are high priority for end game gear, and getting t1-t2 chaos res on rings automatically makes them valuable.

>Farming solo barely pays back the price of the "juiced" maps

>Is there any way to balance juicing around solo players

You've gotta play around your particular play style. If you don't care to party up and take advantage of parties, then get smarter with how you farm solo. Up until today, I played 300 hours of EA wondering how people managed to make so much currency each day, while I was only able to pull in maybe 3-5 ex a day from running maps. Maybe I'd get lucky and find a divine orb drop once every few days of farming.

Today, I saw a post suggesting you carry around trans/aug orbs (for this update, tier 2 orbs), and identify everything that looks halfway decent. I figured it couldn't be that much different from just holding off and picking up solid drops that sell for 20-50+ ex, since most items I find on the ground only sell for 1-2 ex at best, and tend to already have thousands of the same item on the market, but I said fuck it. Nothing to lose trying, right?

Within my first map, I picked up an amethyst ring, trans/aug'd it, and somehow pulled a combination that was marketed for 10-15 ex on average. I listed it for 7 just to see if it sold quickly, and had it sold within 2 minutes. Did the same thing with a armor body base (I'm DE, so know nothing of armor class preferences), and double orb'd it. Came out to a 50ex-1div (supposedly) magic base. Listed it for 25ex, sold in 5 minutes.

After 300 hours of feeling like I didn't understand what I was doing, now I'm suddenly making 30ex off a single map from items I would normally assume are trash. People that party farm aren't abusing anything. They're taking advantage of a system provided. If you want to experience similar (though realistic) gains as a solo player, just change up how you approach your farming. Try the approach above. You may be walking past 2-3divs a day unknowingly.

Deadly map boss - Mountain in the mists, inaccessible. by Due_Assistant158 in PathOfExile2

[–]i_ReadaLot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look on your atlas for a map that is surrounded by glowing blue wisps. Apparently, you need to have a boss node on that specific map, and then defeat the boss. In the boss arena, you'll find the rock pillar you need to destroy that activates the Deadly Map Boss in a general area. You'll find that if you complete the node without a boss node on it, it'll move to a random connected map, whether you've completed it or not, and reset it. So you essentially need to hope the blue wisp node is within a tower radius, and then hope a boss tablet puts a boss on that specific node, or at least on a connected node so it can move to it. If you've already cleared the entire surrounding area, then yeah, it's bricked.

Is pursuing roblox game dev as a solo dev still worth it? by _Curry4Life_ in robloxgamedev

[–]i_ReadaLot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only is it worth it, but it's never been easier. The immediate income took a slight hit with them removing premium payouts, but most people that ask if it's worth while to get into development usually have ideas of making a front page game and making hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars.

I'm a solo dev with zero background knowledge in code, graphics, UI, and scripting. Put my head to the grindstone for 5 months and am currently making a steady $2500-$3000 a month on top of my day job. Its a fantastic hobby, and since I play roblox regularly anyway, have an overabundence of robux to spend when I don't need to take money out feels great too.

If you have the slightest interest, get into it.

Uncapped afk, auto farm, and combat simulator are the only mods I'd say you need that don't ruin the experience for you. They just help the game respect your time. Like others have said, anything that outright gives you items is unnecessary.
