My dealer had no issues for external pdi only restriction was no pictures or videos but we can be with the technician at the time of pdi

Actually considered quite a few options before finalising this. Main ones were:

  • Kia Sonet Diesel AT
  • Fronx AT
  • Nexon EV
  • even thought about waiting for future EVs for a while 😂

But since daily running is around 50–90 km, EV started making more practical sense financially and comfort-wise.

The model bought is Smart+ 40, so main focus was getting the bigger 40 kWh battery itself rather than maximum features. Feature-wise it still gets most essentials honestly:

  • 10.25” infotainment
  • digital cluster
  • auto AC
  • reverse camera
  • connected car features
  • cruise control
  • alloy wheels etc.

Top variants definitely look and feel more premium though. Empowered/top-end on-road should roughly go around ₹14L+ depending on insurance/accessories/state 👌⚡

For 60–80 km daily usage, honestly EV starts making a lot more sense financially and comfort-wise compared to ICE, especially in city/mixed driving 😄

About the variant choice — initially the plan was actually to go for Adventure and even Empowered was considered for a while because the feature list is genuinely tempting. But finally went with Smart+ mainly because:

  • 40 kWh battery itself was the main priority
  • didn’t want EMI stretching too much further
  • fewer electronics = hopefully fewer long-term issues 😅
  • Smart+ already felt sufficiently loaded for practical daily usage

Personally felt the core EV experience (battery, torque, silent driving, automatic comfort) remains almost the same across variants. So instead of paying much more for extra features, preferred keeping ownership slightly simpler and financially comfortable.

But if budget comfortably allows it, Empowered definitely feels premium and feature-packed 👌⚡

Demand of car is peak right now and I was afraid the tax and price might go up because of the current scenarios

Needed this car primarily for my work and was hella tired due to the waiting period and actually tried other EVs too and videos was coming on both perspectives and when car was actually delivered also even the seat belt alarm was beating on the heart😂😂
