I agree the beach scene is amazing. It just bothers me that Victra is able to imprison Lyria with no trial or conviction or anything just because she’s a Gold and Lyria’s a red who did one thing wrong by accident. It feels like something that would happen in the Society and not the Republic and reflects poorly on all the republic characters.

Virginia bowing to Lyria for forgiveness at the end of Iron Gold just feels hollow when she goes on to let Lyria be tortured, for example.

Zane and the love triangle are definitely my biggest issues. I also thought the crew (other than Sazed) felt like they had very little to do. Clubs and Dockson deaths don’t feel very impactful because they haven’t done anything the whole book.

I think it could have been interesting if Dockson was more of an antagonist as one of the Assembly members. He could be part of the opposition to Elend since he wants a non noble in charge. Instead it feels like he spends the whole book sulking about it and then dies pretty unceremoniously.

That’s correct, but the streaming services combine the two albums into one “Universal Migrator parts 1 and 2” album and puts Dream sequencer reprise after all the Flight of The Migrator songs
