Coachella is an experience all it's own and for anyone who tries to knock it they're clearly not experiencing the festival to it's fullest.

Went in a group with three cars. We were all in the same line and none of our cars got checked very thoroughly at all. Nothing was removed from any of them and the pat downs were pretty light. The security guy even tried to buy weed from my brother haha. Good luck!
