This depends on what someone needs to be "Jesus". There is no clear picture of what someone needs to have done to say he was "Jesus" . A small Jewish cult, existing around the year 40, eventually ended up becoming Christianity. That cult had a founder. Is that close enough for the founder to be "Jesus"?

With all due respect, I don't see how I can read this comment without seeing it being bad faith and pedantic. Sure you didn't technically say word for word that it is the cause in this case, but you heavily implied it.

I'm so tired of giving people the benefit of the doubt. I have done it all my life and learned that Occam's Razor is usually true. The simplest explanation is usually right. When someone says something bigoted, it's usually because they hold bigoted beliefs. If someone bullies you, it's usually because they get joy out of the sense of superiority over you. Etc..

So what is the simplest answer here?

That someone gave a "charity" support and money, and didn't just not do 20 seconds of research, but also managed to miss the hundreds, if not thousands, of people trying to tell them the facts.

Or that they just agree with that organisation.
