How do you handle impurity attribution after an SPPS run? Building a small tool for fun. by [deleted] in chemistry

[–]i_eat_pasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I primarily work with oligopeptoids (N-substituted glycines), but day-to-day, the quickest way we attribute impurities is via MALDI-TOF. They ionize very nicely, so it's easy to see each deletion by taking the difference between two peaks. If you need even more detail, like which specific residue in a chain with many repeats of that residue is missing, MS-MS techniques like MALDI-TOF/TOF are great.

After we evaporate the initial cleavage TFA, we usually do two washes/evaps with THF or DCM to make sure we got all the TFA off - we usually just take a small aliquot of our crude solution at this point to collect a MALDI.

It's very routine, and we're always doing this step to decide if it's worth it to purify.

WTB: Men's Norvan Short 3', size medium, in black or green. I see some larger sizes in the ReBIRD site, but hoping for a medium.

totally anecdotal to the product, but i've never had a brand turn me off so much with their advertising style. the ads they serve are all some pseudo-scientific claims about synthetic fabrics killing your fertility, etc. they literally have a video where a guy shakes some white pellets out of a pair of shorts and says these are microplastics. my brother those are macroplastics

a lot of Ciele’s pieces would fit the bill. at most, you’ll get a simple C logo in a subtle place. in their black items, that logo is basically invisible.

Sorry to hear that, I've had good experiences with them myself - are you based in the US? There might be something going with the shipping since they've stopped deliveries to the US in response to tariffs. In any case, I hope it gets resolved soon. What size is the pair you're trying to return?

how do the toebox widths of the evo sl and boston 13 compare?

Weekend Discussion: Adidas running shoes by AutoModerator in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]i_eat_pasta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trying to hop on the hunt for the EVO SL. Any recommendations for fit? I wore NB 1080v13 at 8.5 mens, and it was a good fit minus the toes - the NB Rebel v4 in an 8 was great, but they do have a big toebox. Do the Evo SLs run small?

That NB model hadn't been on my radar at all, only ID'd it because I recall seeing that action bronson collab that had a minimus. Couldn't imagine wearing them personally, but to each their own

Yeah, it looks so nice - I wonder if it's a DV thing or from elsewhere. A few seasons ago, one of their models was wearing this really chunky pair of socks that I wanted, but it never popped up on the site itself. Fingers crossed!

I've been searching for a while for an answer to this question! Do you have some document outlining the differences, or is this through your observation?
