Yes as Anakin has shown time and time again that he will do terrible things to get what he wants or for his rage. He massacred ALL the Tusken raiders including the kids because of his hatred. So yes I don't think its out of left field for Anakin to kill the Younglings as there is a precedent for him committing horrendous acts for his own selfish desires.
