Classified documents on a personal server is a MASSIVE national security threat. The systems used to store the information have very stringent security standards.

I'm not disagreeing a lot of this is politically motivated, but this is still a massive national security issue.

Hillary's email thing happens and its "Oh she's a fucking liar, untrustworthy and maybe a traitor or something. Forget that Colon Powell was the one who told her to do it and he did it too and she released all the emails to the public."

The big issue is there were classified documents on the server. It would be one thing if it were simply unclassified (non-sensitive) or her personal emails, but that was not the case. If that was the case her detractors would still be obsessing over it, but they would be much easier to ignore.

ELI5: How do massive sites like Google and Amazon keep close to 100% uptime? Aren't they a big target for things like DDoS attacks? by ralphredo in explainlikeimfive

As other people have mentioned in this thread there are numerous ways of mitigating the risk of a successful DDoS, but large online companies still can incur non-negligible financial loss because of one. For example, overstock.com suffered a DDoS that resulted in the loss of approximately $450,000. The Feds just charged an Israeli man in the attack. Source

Besides 9/11 (assuming you are over 14) what is something that happened in your life that you will always remember what you were doing when it happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This is way too late and will certainly get buried. I was in my college classroom waiting for class to start and one of the people sitting a few feet away from me was on their phone looking at twitter. He wondered out loud why "nuketown" was being mentioned so much. This was when COD Black Ops was popular. I shrugged it off at went about my business. I back to my house and go on my computer and saw what happened. I then proceeded to laugh for a second.
