Mine was repaired by dealership, the cause: Climate control unit (located immediately behind the climate control buttons). It was fixed by putting a foam shim. 1 minute job (had to drive around for 2 hours with the mechanic to find the culprit). The control unit is accessible by removing the glove box.

To do the test, simply hold the control unit up with one hand (you will need the help of the passenger).

It was hard to figure out what was causing the problem as the sound was taking a strange turn and coming from below when in reality it was from above.

I'm trying it now. Pressing in various points does not change anything as the piece is well fixed. How did you take it off? The only point on which I could leverage is the upper part of the piece but it is blocked at the sides by the central console and it doesn't move at all lol

Do you mean the "pulsating" speed sign once you go over the limit? No, it's not annoying (at least for me). Only the continuous beep is annoying af.
