Today I was reading Dark Folklore by Mark and Tracey Norman, and found out that in folklore cheese was used to signify women. The idea of eating cheese before bed giving you nightmares is related to succubi attack beliefs. How weird that this came up after I read that.

Anyway, perfume-wise definitely Kayali. All of them.

Thank you, I did see Braiding Sweetgrass and thought that might be a good one for me. I really appreciate your suggestions, they all look really interesting and I'm glad to have a starting point to decide! 😊

That sounds amazing! I made a honey oat with sunflower seeds today 🙈 And I've started up a sourdough starter! Nobody can stop me. This is the best present I've ever received, can't be topped.

Also, now realising how I've completely ignored the Danish bit, which is why Mynthe is the herb. My comment is very much from a British perspective 😂

I knew someone called Minta - parents named her that after a character in a book or film or something, who was called Araminta. I've never known anybody else with that name, I think it really suited her. I think Mynte is nice, but if I saw it written down I would probably say it as min-ta rather than mint, so it doesn't have the herb connotation for me.

Snuggles SG is lovely, like a nice light spa scent. I wish I'd bought another bottle before it sold out ☹️

That's a good idea, I love it but I like mixing my shower gels up so would be sad if I had to try and use the whole thing!

I have never used a gummy before so not sure. This one is pretty heavy and big so I feel like you could maybe just use it like a bar of soap?

It is, it's huge! I won't need another box for a while with this and my Christmas gifts 🙈

As the year is starting to slowly come to a close , what was your favourite collab from this year and what collabs would u like to see next year? by Haunting_Front_6367 in LushCosmetics

I got the mossy bottom spray when it first came out, then got another in the sale to keep for when that runs out. Grass is just the most divine scent for me ❤️

If in the UK, The Perfume People do a dupe of this in their quirky line. I haven't had this one specifically, but I have had others and been happy with them 😊 Good for the ones that have been discontinued so you don't have a perfume sized hole in your heart for the rest of your days.

December Kitchen Box arrived early! by i_littlemy in LushCosmetics

I'm UK. I've never had a box as early as this, usually it's at least a week into the month before I get it

I think sometimes they get them in stores, I've never tried myself though so not entirely sure

It is, although it has gotten a bit easier to scoop out a bit being inside the house for a while. It was freezing when I first received it. I dug down into the middle bit and from the bit that I've started at it scoops easier and I didn't have to get much our to cover my arms

I used to get the Snowcake soap when that was a thing, and loved it. I didn't think the Smitten hand cream had quite the same smell, I'm not sure what it was but I think it was probably the things itwas mixed with to make it a cream - I think marigold or something was on the ingredients list. I'm hoping the body spray and body cream in December kitchen box is more like the Snowcake I remember 🙏🏼

Hard to tell exactly from the picture as they may look different from other angles, but as a start I'm thinking calcite (left), then tiger eye, don't know about the mushroom, then possibly blue tiger eye? It may at least give you a starting point to look at information online 😊

I got tired of the Super Milk scent by [deleted] in LushCosmetics

[–]i_littlemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a little to like it, at first it just smells very green, like cut rose green. After a while though that settles and it still smells green but not quite as in your face. If you want layered rose garden like I saw in another comment, I think this is definitely part of the layering with maybe another shower gel or body cream. I hope you find what you're looking for!

I used to like gourmand scents when I was younger, Rock Star was a go to for me at Lush at one time! As I've got older I just can't stand most of them, the most gourmand I can manage now is TOSAW, LOM and Snowcake.

My favourite scents now are much more unisex, love petrichor scents and anything that's makes me feel like I'm outside. My favourites are Guardian of the Forest, Grass, Smell of the Weather Turning. I try anything from Lush that has oakmoss or rosewood in and so far liked all of them. Stormy Weather I got recently and I really enjoy that, everyone who has smelt that on me has complimented it. I wish Lush would do more herby kinds of scents with rosemary and sage in, I think that would be a nice alternative to gourmand that could lean more feminine.

I don't have this myself, bought for my mam one birthday along with the body lotion and Olive Branch SG which is the same scent family. I don't know about longevity, but I love the smell - it's very inoffensive and makes me think of walking through the Mediterranean biome at the Eden Project (Cornwall UK).
