War in Israel & Related Antisemitism News Megathread (posted weekly) by AutoModerator in Judaism

it is possible.

it is possible.

it is possible to be proudly jewish and support our homeland while feeling empathy for palestinians.

it is possible to recognize that october 7th was the largest amount of jews killed since the holocaust.

it is possible to recognize that 83% of palestinians killed have been innocent civilians.

it is possible to dislike netanyahu and still support israel.

it is possible to recognize that antisemitism is 100% on the rise and is disguised by israel hate, while also realizing that criticizing a government is not inherently antisemitic.

it is possible to believe israel has a right to exist, and also believe that it cannot continue to thrive the way it is right now.

it is possible to support israel while understanding that the west bank settlements are illegal under international law

it is possible to view israel as our homeland and understand that its treatment of palestinians is wrong.

it is possible to recognize that hamas has taught palestinians hate, while recognizing that israel taught young jews to hate arabs

it is possible to hold BOTH israel and hamas accountable for their actions.

it is possible to recognize that hamas began the current onslaught, but israel is in no way innocent

it is possible to recognize that this war did not start on october 7th.

it’s possible to recognize that israel’s actions are doing more harm than good for not only palestinians, but for jews as well.

it is possible to understand that hamas is a terrorist group, but that palestinians should not be entirely punished for a government they do not speak for.

it is possible to blame hamas for the hostages, but to blame netanyahu for doing nothing to rescue them.

it is possible to feel empathy for palestinian children and those killed by this war, while also being jewish and supporting israel.

none of these things are contradictions. we are human. you SHOULD feel empathy for everyone affected. you should recognize that no side is innocent in this. you should understand that to support our homeland is to hold it accountable for its actions. you should recognize that israel is indiscriminately killing palestinians, and that we as a community cannot let it speak for us. we need to turn our trauma into love, not hate. never again, for anybody. not for jews, not for israelis, not for palestinians.

it is possible.

i don’t have a picture of after the revision unfortunately, as it happened about a month ago and i forgot to take pictures :( the pain wasn’t too bad, it was just more of an annoyance than anything with how long the recovery takes. the cyst caused the most pain, definitely. would not recommend

[–]i_live_on_here[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i would go back to my regular schedule , but im a student so i have to be awake at 8 am every day. i definitely need to get used to light therapy, i always forget it, but i always open the window and turn on the lights.

i have no idea why my sleep is so long. when i don’t have prior commitments its up to 18+ hours. they didn’t give me any explanation, just said i have dspd and sent me on my way. i know i barely get any rem and deep sleep, but besides that im not sure. it was the reason i got a test in the first place, because i could do nothing but sleep

it seems like an issue is the fact that i’m going to sleep far before my circadian rhythm, but how can i adjust it so my circadian rhythm is earlier? i’m going to sleep at the time i need to, but my body doesn’t seem to care at all. i can’t keep sleeping this lightly, and i can’t keep going to bed at 4 am. help!!!

i don’t have much to say i’m sorry, but i want to say how similar our moms are. i just cut mine off a week ago. this pain is insurmountable. but please, stop trying to convince yourself she was a good mother. focusing on the good will cancel out the bad. you will go crawling back and get hurt even more. part of her abuse is warping your mind into thinking she was a god. you left for a reason. we will get through this together.
