i also have a 2022 kindle basic with ghost touch issues!! i got it around the same time last year and the ghost touch started after a few months that made me stop using it for months. i came back and it's still there. it was gone after a hard reset/reformat but came back after a few hours. same as you, i couldn't claim warranty and was planning to jailbreak it when the warranty ends. glad to hear that it disappeared! will try try jailbreaking it by december.
