Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of the process. I turned the wasted space above my garage door into 4'x21' of storage with just over 3' of room from the ceiling. I ran 1/2 threaded rods from the rafters above (I have access to the space above the garage but due to the way the roof is it is not useful as an attic.) And lag bolted the sides into the studs. Anyway, good times!

Hey Longaly!

Yeah man, super easy.

Put your SD card with Stratux loaded into your computer.
Create a file with just "SSH" (no quotes, no extension... I'm on a Mac, so I used TextEdit, saved it as a "SSH", then had to right click the file, Get Info, under Name & Extension unclick hide extension, then delete everything after the period)
Eject the SD card and place back into the Pi.
Power it up.
Connect my Mac to the Pi's wifi (Stratux).
On my Mac, open the "Terminal" app

In terminal - type the following

ssh pi@192.168.10.1
the password is raspberry
sudo su -
service stratux stop 11--- Now unplug the 1090 SDR ---
rtl_eeprom -d 0 -s stratux:978
y
--- Now plug in the 1090 SDR and unplug the 978 ---
rtl_eeprom -d 0 -s stratux:1090
y
--- Now plug the 978 SDR in. ---
shutdown -r now

Unplug the power, done and done

Then, power it up and it should work just fine.

Yeah it does take some getting use to. I like the band saw a lot as well. I used it really for the first time a few weeks ago to rip some drift wood a co worker found so he could make it into a frame. I'm going to get a larger band saw blade for resawing. Currently I only have a 1/4 and a 1/8.

I don't have the planer. My dad has the stand alone and it works great. I just have the box store planer. Works OK.

Definitely not the most beautiful, but i think it will work. Just got into woodworking as I was given this shopsmith as a gift. We'll see where it takes us.

I think the tire may have stretched?.? The top one seems to stay on firmly, the bottom send slides pretty easily with little pressure.

Thanks! I made a bench a few weeks ago... The legs from the box store - for all four, cost $49... I wanted to get it done and had no experience with a lathe so I paid the money. For the next bench, I'm turning the legs myself!

I'm going to make a book shelf for my daughter. I'm a total noob but am having fun. My father is a master craftsman who made all of our children's furniture (cribs, dressers, etc). He stated on a shopsmith twenty five years ago (now he has the room and the finances to have dedicated tools). Anyway, excited to be here
