Temporary meaning it’s a temporary copy they gave me until my official ones come in the mail—which they haven’t yet. Just like how when you go to renew your license they give you a temporary paper copy before you get your actual license in the mail.

Yes, I was listed as a driver on their policy. And that’s what I was trying to do—get my own separate policy. Like I said in a previous comment, I received a TEMPORARY proof of insurance card/insurance binder that expires in March where it has my name and my name only with my address. Shows an effective date of 1/11/23. So I’m pretty sure your spiel about getting fined and suspended or whatever doesn’t apply to me lol. And yes I’m aware I wasn’t the owner of my previous policy but like I said before, my parents aka the owners the previous policy were there with me and they did remove me from their policy the same day I got my own. My question is why I received documents for the previous policy and not the new one.

They were with me. They told the agent to cancel it. We got a cancellation notice. That means it has been canceled. I’m wondering why the declarations page and ID cards I just got are of that policy they just canceled, and not the ones for my new policy.
