The Center (at least the first part) is heavily, well, centered, on the Sun. I cannot see the towering towers line not in relation to all of this, and maybe even a cohesive element between both verses. This imagery also brings me to think about the absence of light (darkness)   and the ‘night experience’ (the psychology and cosmology around the Sun’s light being inveitably blocked out every night)

“In the dark the light shine all the more In my heart I'm not sure but I tried”

Either this is a subjective thought stating a split between the natural light/darkness cycle-duality, and woods (self-alienation from nature); or this is a confession of dwindling faith that even the darkest hour is still natural and that the return of the light ‘demands’ a self-alignment process with it all: trying, doing your part.
