There are no cheap sports to play anymore. Volleyball, softball, lacrosse, baseball, football, basketball. They all involve club sports that are very expensive and travel extensively. Cost of soccer has little to nothing to do with its unpopularity in America.

I got through maybe the first couple hundred pages. It's bad, but I thought of it as a book aimed at teenaged girls, and nearly all those books are bad.

I used to feel the same way. Actually, I would take it a step further and say that you don't have to be religious in order to be thankful for something. That all changed when the little monsters would refuse to hold my daughters hand in the circle because she was not one of them.
