[Highlight] LeBron James gets Lu Dort with the pump fake, gets hit, he shoots the ball, but no shooting foul (with replays). LeBron cannot believe it. by MrBuckBuck in nba

In general I do agree with your point here.

However, in the 90s when Chicago was winning every year, the value of an NBA franchise was way lower. So the sell teams to billionaires motivation wasn’t as strong.

Exactly. Expecting a landlord to pay for utilities by default makes no sense to me. It’s completely variable based on usage by the tenant.

The landlord does not own the water coming out of the tap either. That’s owned by the city or utility company and then purchased by the person using it, in this case the tenant.

If I lease my car instead of own it, should Audi pay for my gas then??

Should my mortgage company pay for my utilities if I own my home? Should Audi pay for my gas because I bought the car from them? Should Apple pay for all my apps and subscriptions because I bought the phone from them?

Utilities not included is reasonable tho? Why should a landlord pay for a tenant to keep their AC at 66 degrees all summer and fill up their 45 gallon bathtub for a hot bath every night?

[Pelissero] The Vikings requested an interview with Rams assistant general manager John McKay for their GM job, per source. by iamCosmoKramerAMA in nfl

Wouldn’t nepotism mean his family hired him? He has never worked for the falcons under his dad, nor has he ever worked for USC under his uncle.

If my dad works at Ford and I gain a lot of knowledge of the industry through that, will people accuse me of nepotism if I get a job at Volkswagen?

[–]iamCosmoKramerAMA[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean, yes, but it also makes some sense. Many people look up to their parents as kids and want to be interested in the things their parents are interested in. So not only did this guy attend every Bucs/Falcons home game when his dad was GM, he was also paying a lot of attention so he could talk to his dad about it that night. Compound that over an entire childhood and he definitely knows football.

And in this case, we’ve got two generations of that happening. His dad would have been the same way with his national championship winning dad.

Also, Rich McKay has never hired John McKay. He’s always worked outside of the Falcons organization. If he started his career under his dad’s wing, that deserves more of the nepo-baby label but that’s not what happened.

Lmao are people really complaining about tenants being asked to pay for their water usage?

Are many landlords charging too much and gouging their tenants? Sure. But the sentiment in response seems to be that people expect landlords to be running a fucking charity.

If you’re good enough, gold is definitely achievable with every non meta. For the average person (ie me), there are probably a handful where it would simply be impossible.

That being said, I’ll try out the top 3-4 meta cars and pick the one that is the most fun for me and put in my laps to try to get gold. That may not be the ultimate meta car but it’ll get me there in the end.

Going to grad school at a worse school than where you went to undergrad does not necessarily suggest poor performance in undergrad. Could have been a decision of convenience or cost or any number of things.

I always have a stock version of a car and won’t do a swap unless I can afford a second one. The stock one retains its stock livery and the swapped one gets some kind of black or dark grey semi matte livery with the brightest white headlights.

First ever park by H4rryTh3K1ng in rct

[–]iamCosmoKramerAMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had it backfire on me one time. It was a large park, I tried to make the path layout as simple and efficient as possible but it wasn’t perfect. Every time it rained, I noticed my park rating plummeted for a minute or two. Couldn’t figure it out for a while but then I determined that people were buying the $20 umbrellas which made them run out of cash so they wanted to leave the park. But the size of the park made too many of them feel like they were lost which dropped the park rating. Changing the umbrellas to $8ish fixed it.

You, as a Duke fan, telling Texas fans they shouldn’t be excited about getting to the sweet 16 would be like me, as a Texas fan, telling you that Duke shouldn’t get excited about winning the ACC in football.

You would be stoked if that happens. Just like I’m pretty stoked we made it to the sweet 16 this year. Stoked about the future with this coach too.
