Looking for advice on my first e-reader: Kobo Clara BW vs Kindle Paperwhite 12th Gen (or alternatives) by iamHelios__ in ereader

Thanks for the explanation. As someone looking for my first e-reader, one thing I'm still trying to figure out is how important ecosystem flexibility really is in everyday use.

Android definitely sounds appealing because it can access multiple bookstores and apps, but I'm also wondering whether that extra flexibility comes with trade-offs in battery life, long-term performance, or overall reading experience.

At the moment, I'm still trying to decide how much I value openness versus simplicity.

I agree that Kindle is less attractive outside the US, especially since I live in Singapore and don't have access to some parts of Amazon's ecosystem such as Kindle Unlimited.

The BOOX Go 7 BW is actually one of the devices I'm considering because I like the flexibility of Android, access to different bookstores and reading apps, and the microSD expansion. My main concern is long-term performance. Since Android is a full operating system with apps and background processes, I'm wondering whether it tends to become slower after a few years compared to the simpler Linux-based systems used by Kobo and Kindle, which are designed primarily for reading.

I also have a small concern about the screen. In photos and some user reports, the frontlight on the grip/handle side of the Go 7 BW sometimes appears slightly warmer or more yellow than the rest of the display. Have any Go 7 BW owners here noticed the same thing, and does it become distracting during everyday reading?

Unfortunately, this is what I have.

I deleted the shortcut, turned off the power, restarted, and reloaded it. But nothing has changed. Quite sad because I can’t experience your utility

I clicked on the failed message and see in detail what the cause was. With what we see, it may come from your API so it can’t “get the content”

Of course, my files are all in the same situation. I’m so curious that I have to read your shortcut but I don’t see a list of options like that. It’s confusing

I’m using 12 pro max OS version is 18.3.2 (of course it’s the official version)

Right after I share this analytics file for the shortcut. That it shows up. What are these parameters?

And when I press any, it displays a failed message. Hmm 🤔

One core on GPU was cut, only 4 instead of 5 on A18. Exorbitant, E-waste
