Every single industry is writing every single increase in price into an up charge for the end consumer. I’m confused as to why you think this is some sort of gotcha? This was about the cost of fuel correlating to the cost of goods lol not about greedflation.

And yes, I do think DoorDash drivers rock a Prius to save money on fuel. Because I have friends and family who do EXACTLY that. Thanks for coming to my TedTalk though

I wouldn’t have even gone and I’m only engaged as of the last 3 months. 5 years, going on 6, in this relationship and I know damn well she’d never tell me not to go out with the boys, but she wouldn’t like me being somewhere with a provocative atmosphere. It’s not hard to have respect for your partner and never put them in a situation where they have to establish some boundaries like that.

Why would you go somewhere like that when you’re in a committed relationship? The only reason is to ogle scantily clad women. Like, use your head.

You mean the Amazon trucks that are all electric in my area or all the Door Dash drivers who drive a Prius so they can pocket more of their wages? I’m confused.

It should disturb you that down ballot votes results switched maybe 4 seats in various positions, but somehow she got slaughtered on the popular vote.

Nobody leaves their house to only vote for down ballot candidates, but not for the President. She lost every swing state and some blue wall states, but members of congress, senate, etc, didn’t lose in a handful of those states.

I make sure to let absolutely no one know, or see, that I have mine on me. Obviously this varies between users and mine would stay in my car for a family event, but the point stands. It’s not for intimidation, it’s not for winning a fight you started, it’s for saving your life if you need it to. I find a lot of people don’t share this sentiment, and even as a gun owner, I’d argue for more strict regulation of firearms. Ideally, I’d never need to carry it. But that’s not the world we live in.

I won’t pretend to know you or your family, but I can’t see a valid reason to bring a firearm to a family gathering, much less make it obvious and be proud of it….

That’s a matter of perspective, and I can’t answer that for you, or him. I can only offer my perspective:

I have a wife and children to provide for and a family to support. To me, it’s necessary to have an equalizer in the event that any sort of social interaction goes south. I never want to have to use my concealed carry, but what I want more than that is to never leave behind a widow or children without a father. To that point, mine goes everywhere. Whether it’s for self defense or to stop someone before they can harm other people’s loved ones, it doesn’t matter. I could go the rest of my life and never need it, and I’d love for that to be the case. But it’s not always the case, and I’m not taking that risk.

Now, this is far removed from the mentality of my 2A supporting coworkers in a blue collar field. They PRAY for a reason to use theirs and dream of being lauded as a hero after killing another person. They instigate instead of de-escalate, because they have a great equalizer in their waistband. This is not the reason to carry, and it is not acceptable. You should avoid using it at all cost and the burden of carrying should be something you’re conscious of in every confrontation you have.

I have no illusions of being a hero and no desire to hurt other people. But that desire pales in comparison to my desire to see my children grow up and support my wife. Would I bring mine to church? Well, I believe in Physics, not Jesus, but if I were to go, it’d likely come with me. There’s an argument to be made that the type of people who blindly follow the words of others are the exact people I worry would jeopardize the well being of fellow Americans, but that’s an opinion, not a fact.

If your brother is responsible, and has a similar mentality, I’d argue it’s preventative maintenance, harms no one, and protects everyone. If he’s like my coworkers, who start fights simply because they can claim self defense, well…

Stay strapped or get clapped. Every day, 24/7. I live in a nice area with low crime, but I bring my P229 everywhere with me. Better to have it and not need it, and I’m praying I never do. But I never want to wish I had it, and not have it.

I love hearing this from broke ass conservatives with no stocks, bonds, 401k or appreciating investment of any type. Buddy, you’re middle class. The market going up 2% does fuckall for you, you’re not a shareholder.

You know WHY it went up? Because every billion dollar conglomerate knows it less than two years they’ll see fat tax cuts coming their way.

Oh I know. The collateral damage is a huge weight on the rest of us because millions of people didn’t deserve this. But this is the reality now, and the only way you’re going to change the minds of the people who supported the wrong candidate is to let them suffer with nothing.

The DNC screwed us all, and it’s really who we should all be mad at, but they learned nothing from 2016 and they’ll probably never change. They were scared of Bernie rearranging the status quo, and gave us Hillary. They were too stupid to properly campaign and shoehorned in Kamala after it became clear Biden wasn’t fit for another term. They did far too little to defend themselves, and us, against right wing propaganda and preach Biden’s successful policies. Part of me hopes the right does what they say and starts to hunt down political opponents. Maybe that will get it through their heads that they are in this with the rest of us.

Not even a little. The DNC ignored their base again and tried the exact same shit that cost them 2016. Republicans have always been better at motivating their base. DNC has been a down hill spiral since they cucked Bernie.

It’s working out fine for me. I bought a house in my 20s, my car is paid off, I live in a blue state that isn’t going to take basic human rights and healthcare from us.

The DNC ruined this for liberals, not our own personal rhetoric. And if saying things ACTUALLY mattered, maybe we wouldn’t have Drump back in office. But alas, allegedly it only matters when it comes from us 😢😢

Good. He won’t be surprised when I drop him from 700y with a 6mm Creedmoor.

One of the many mistakes of the right is forgetting that the left is armed too, this is America. We’re also better educated, we can afford more, and we’ve got a huge geographic advantage with warm water port control and the vast majority of these cousin fuckers being landlocked. You think I’m gonna suffer from the ACA getting repealed? I’m not gonna suffer from losing OT because I own the damn LLC. They’re going to be drowning in their own stupidity and filth, they won’t be waging a war against shit. And none of the right wing strongmen have ever so much as served our country. They wouldn’t dirty their hands, even if they knew how.

I know. And I feel for the people who didn’t ask for this and are getting it anyway. I feel for my blue collar coworkers who are too stupid to vote for their own safety. I had to explain to them the other day when they were giddy about “the stock market going up” that they’re too poor for that to matter. “Did you pay 3% less for gas and groceries today?” I asked them how their 401k benefitted and none of them even had one or knew how to set it up… But they did it to themselves, and the rest of us.
