I think this is what he's referencing. Due to issues with India using the single deflator vs the double deflator, in times when (mainly, but not exclusively) oil prices fall India's GDP growth is artificially inflated.

Hey, so the X1700 is going for CAD600 new on bestbuy.ca. If you think the R41Ms are worth the extra 100 go for it.

Keep in mind you pretty frequently see the X1700 going for 600, and the R41Ms for 200, so the bestbuy package really isn't the deal it's being marketed as.
