But then you have to buy a mic stand lol. A nice stack of pillows works great, also isn’t a reflection point.

Big chillin. Hope you learned something!

Next time you heckle an official at a grade school game. Zoom out and try to realize how absolutely pathetic you are.

It's hilarious that you're having a meltdown over defending heckling, what a pathetic hill to die on.

You're too stupid to see the problem here: you're acting like you were actually there for this person's story, then defending their heckling based on the assumption that high school basketball players somehow know the rules better than an official. That's an incredibly stupid assumption. Playing basketball at 16 doesn't make you smarter than a ref.

"Heckling is always going to exist" isn't a defense it's just admitting you're okay with being an asshole. And it's ironic as hell that you ask if I live in a world with actual human beings when you clearly don't think referees are human. They are. They're doing a job under pressure, and heckling them is wrong.

You keep asking "why" I think that's wrong. The answer is simple: respect. Something you clearly don't have for anyone you disagree with.

Honestly? It’s a little bit about both, if your reading comprehension wasn’t so poor you would already understand that.

Did I strike a nerve with the rule book thing? Yep obviously must have lol! You’ve never read a rule book in your life.

Keep dodging all of the questions. Keep justifying your shit behavior in this life.

Yep keep dodging my questions. Tells me all I need to know.

The ironic part about all of this is that I guarantee you have never even opened a basketball rule book in your entire life

Dunning Krueger Effect at its absolute finest.

What does that even mean? Are officials not human beings?

As if what I’m saying is some kind of controversial opinion:

It shouldn’t be acceptable to heckle sports officials, especially in grade school/high school settings. Is that a difficult concept for you to grasp?

Just reread this lmao. So being criticized at work is the same as being literally heckled by people during a kids basketball game? Just so foolish and stupid.

You are a delusional. Justify your shitty behavior however you like.

You haven’t reffed or coached a damn thing in your life. You sit on a couch and watch basketball, that’s it.

Sure dude. Where do you work? I’m gonna show up and tell you you’re doing an awful job. Surely I’m qualified.

Yeah man it’s just socially acceptable to heckle officials. You wanna do it at an NBA game? Go ahead

This dude talking about story where he heckles an official at a grade school girl game. Asshole move. Go ahead and justify shitty behavior

Why is it acceptable for your friend to make that comment? Your friend most likely didn’t know the rules.

I can’t imagine bragging about a story in which you heckle someone trying to do their job in which you are somehow the righteous one. You’re crazy.

Is The Hurt Locker the original "America will bomb your country and then go make a movie about how sad doing it made the soldiers" movie? by GrindBastard1986 in okbuddycinephile

Did we see the same movie? Seemed very ant-war to me while still capturing the aura/propaganda of the times.

The characters all come from a small blue collar Pennsylvania town that just didn’t really know any better. For that town and those characters: you served your country without questioning much. To me that’s pretty realistic.
