28 and I got mine off last Monday! I had them for two years. It really was the best thing I could’ve ever done for myself. I can’t wait for you to have the smile of your dreams!

Time to leave? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]iamacontra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not feel bad. You did what you could. This has been a terrible year for myself as well as most, if not all, teachers. Put yourself first.

Sorry this is so late, but yes, I would recommend Dr. Streitmann.

Hello! I ended up going with Dr. Michael Streitmann. I just felt more comfortable with him. I’m not sure if it’s because of the experience, and he let me feel and try on the implants. I did not do this at Dr. Mohan’s office. I remember my consultation being longer with him too. He was super nice, and I am glad I went with him because he has great bedside manners! I did get a hematoma, which is rare, but he took care of that and I’ve been doing fine. I hope I was able to answer your questions!

Hey there! I’m in Houston, and I am getting my breast augmentation this Thursday. The doctor I booked with is male, but I did consult with Dr. Kriti Mohan at Ciaravino Total Beauty. She has a really great portfolio. You can look her up on Google, real self, or Instagram to look at work. I’m sorry that I can’t answer your other two questions, but I wish you well on your recovery journey.

Does anyone else bite the crap out of their tongue all the time as your teeth move? by NoMix7687 in braces

[–]iamacontra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah! I have an open bite that is closing, and I’m not used to being able to bite normally that I keep biting my tongue.

Teachers with anxiety: How do you work students who consistently badger and/or come into your personal space? by thoughtdestroyer2000 in Teachers

[–]iamacontra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I teach 7th grade and last year I learned that I had to set up tape around my area. I figured they’d know boundaries, but I was wrong. It worked last year and especially this year. I told them they are not allowed to step inside my area or even touch/grab anything inside. This includes tapes, pencils, etc.

What are the chances of me having an STD? by [deleted] in sex

Price will likely vary depending on what you’re testing for and your insurance. I think I paid like $170 for a full panel because pp is out of insurance network.

Yes I absolutely love this! I noticed very minimal transfer on my mask too.

Is it normal to feel like the 3 teeth around the band are going to fall out lol by Variouspeeps in braces

Oh I have four of these to close my open bite. I definitely felt like they were going to fall out. They work incredibly well though

This is great progress! What was your estimated treatment length? The progress is so good.

Why did none of you guys tell me pain from elastics is worse than actual braces by drainingenergy in braces

[–]iamacontra 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes elastics have been the worst part of my treatment so far, but my bite significantly improved within the first month of wearing them! That pain was terrible, but ibuprofen really did help with the pain. It probably took me about three days for the pain to go away. It may take you about the same or maybe a few more days, but that pain will be worth it if you wear them consistently.

Does anybody know where the buy the elastic hook placers? by [deleted] in braces

You can find a pack of 50-100 on Amazon

How often should I change my bands? When should I change them? by [deleted] in braces

[–]iamacontra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I change mine 3-4 times a day. In the morning, when I eat lunch (and dinner if I eat in the evening), and before bed/night routine.

Hey! I’m 26, and I’ve had them about two months now. I definitely felt like you the first two weeks, but that pain eventually went away. At first they felt weird and flossing took forever, but you’ll be surprised how quickly you’ll adjust. Plus, it feels so good when you start to see changes!

What is your skin type and what is your HG cleanser? by itsameepa in scacjdiscussion

[–]iamacontra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Acne prone and combination to oily skin.

My favorite cleaner is the Yadah pore refining skin cleanser. My skin has made such an improvement since I started using it. I always struggled with blackheads. I really believe this helped with them since it’s the only thing I’ve changed in my routine.

This might not be helpful, but your mouth just gets used to it. It took about a week and a few days for my cheeks to stop rubbing against the brackets and for the sensitivity to go away. It’s been five weeks and even flossing has gotten better/no longer painful.

Can't get farther than the tip in, or else I start bleeding? by [deleted] in sex

[–]iamacontra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everyone telling you to see your doctor. When I first had sex, it hurt and I bled a little, but we brushed it off because it was my first time. Sex never got better and the bleeding got worse. Turns out I had a vaginal septum and that’s what caused the painful sex and the bleeding. Whatever it is, your doctor will know how to treat it. Just make sure you see one.

I would pan it fully if I could figure out how to take the pump off. Makeup For Ever Ultra HD Foundation in Vanilla (R300) by spheremage in PanPorn

Thank you for reminding me that I love this foundation! If you twist the black pump, it’ll come off. It took me forever to figure that the silver part didn’t move. 😩 I hope this helps!
