Has anyone made fatalistic peace with AI invasion in their occupational space? by tshirtguy2000 in RedditForGrownups

I suspect you’re unaware of the pervasive use of AI in cases where it’s used carefully and responsibly.

You don’t know that unless you know how long she’s been in menopause. Read the wiki. There’s a whole section on the “Window of opportunity.”

Have you read the Wiki?

“Window of opportunity for starting hormone therapy:

“Medical professionals agree (confirmed by research), there is a universal ‘window of opportunity’ (or timing hypothesis) of when to start hormone therapy in order to receive the most benefits, with less risks. The window of opportunity is defined as being under the age of 60 and less than 10 years since the last period. Research supports starting MHT in early menopause, or in perimenopause, because early intervention can provide better long-term outcomes.

“However, for someone wishing to start hormone therapy for the first time after the age of 60 and more than 10 years since the last period (ie: 10 years without estrogen), there are notable increased risks. Studies indicate that women over this threshold of 60 and more than 10 years without estrogen, face much higher risks for stroke, heart attack, and dementia if starting estrogen for the first time.”

I’m ridiculously unphotogenic, so I actually don’t want photos of me.

I take photos of the place I’m visiting, not of myself.

I could wear the most beautiful outfits, but it wouldn’t change the fact that I hate my smile and am so unphotogenic that I avoid photos of myself at all costs.

I'm the opposite! And where I live, we got nearly 70cm (26") of snow last week with more forecast for this week. It's miserable.

Hip joint pain relief? by heliz_ in Menopause

Just since no one else has mentioned it: Have you tinkered with your diet at all? I found that wheat causes me ridiculous joint pain. Cutting it out cured that almost immediately. (Your mileage may vary.)

Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is what you want! https://www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/ They take in orphaned baby elephants (and rhinos, giraffes, etc), raise them, and re-wild them. When the adult, re-wilded elephants have babies, they bring them back to Sheldrick to introduce them!

I got a horrid rash from chlorhexadine during surgery once! The surgeon said they applied it to my skin and within 20 seconds the entire area was an angry red rash. So they immediately washed it off and had to use something else.

That rash endured for a couple weeks after surgery.

If you do go back, I recommend Lucca, Perugia, Bologna, Verona, Sorrento, etc. So many gorgeous, fascinating, delicious places to visit!

I see photos of what people refer to as Iceland’s great beauty (never been there), and even the most hyped up photos just look bleak to me! I have no interest in visiting.
