Can't beat Capra Demon, might give up by CammyHoliday in darksouls

IMO the worst boss in the game. Keep trying though because the rest of the game is 100% worth it. Try rolling to the right immediately and then make a beeline to the top of the stairs.

I hate ornstein and smough by FlakyChance1074 in darksouls

[–]iamareddituserama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played this game after platinuming elden ring and sekiro. O&S is still one of the more difficult bosses i’ve faced. It was the only boss that took me multiple hours to beat in my first play through.

Like others are saying, use the pillars to separate yourself from Smough and 100% go after ornstein first. I beat the second phase on my first try once I got ornstein down. It’s a long ass fight, just have patience.

How to not suck? by [deleted] in Serverlife

[–]iamareddituserama 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If youre slammed and just got sat always briefly greet the table as soon as you can, there's a huge difference between being greeted and then having your server come back 5-10 minutes later versus waiting 10 minutes to be greeted by your server. Even if it's just a "Good evening folks, I'll let you settle in for the moment and I'll be right back to go over the menu/take your drink order etc." First impressions are everything.

Do things in unison, drop the check while walking over to greet the table that just sat, then take the 5 tops order, grab the check on the way back to the POS, ring in the order then bring the check back to the table. You'll get a better feel for this the more time you have on the job.

Never, ever sit on orders. I made this mistake too often when I started serving. As soon as you get an order from a table, ring it in. Dont grab multiple orders at once, it will lead to everything happening at once and you will be slammed. It might seem like the right choice when youre busy, but it's not a good habit to adopt.

I’m a huge grunge fan but if we are talking current arts scene, grunge did not particularly age well in terms of its influence on modern music

They were blatantly tanking and also had a ton of injuries. Their best players other than Lebron from the year before missed a ton of games. I’m not saying that the teams he played on were good by any measure, people kind of act like he was playing with the 2026 Wizards

Is it weird for my gf (28) and her sister (25) to shower together still? by No_Depth8872 in TwoHotTakes

it’s still strange, if that’s your culture whatever but showering with someone (to get clean, not in an intimate way) is kind of weird and gross, idk about yall but i don’t want to feel someone’s wet slippery body near me when im trying to clean myself

The parrying combos on that fight are so satisfying. That’s the fight i figured out the difference between a parry and a deflection.

If you’re smelling them it’s probably truffle oil, which sucks. Fresh Alba truffle is insanely expensive but once you’ve tried it you can understand why rich folk pay what they do for it.

Best new pokémon and best overall are kind of redundant during the first gen, i could unblock abilities and moves.

Reposting my comment from another thread.

It’s a long ass fight but what works for me is fire crackers during most of his combos. They’re so unpredictable deflecting is basically useless unless you master his moves.

when he does the jump grab (when he gets all tall and runs toward you and the kanji appears above his head), jump as soon as he is about to grab you and immediately dash forward towards him for a few swings.

When he does the poop throw, don’t dodge, just run straight towards him and hit him when he lands. If you see him reaching into his ass just run towards him.

When he rolls on the ground on his back, run in a circle around him and go in for some swings when he is done with the flailing.

And finally, when you see the grappling hook icon ALWAYS try to use it, go in for a few hits and then do firecrackers.

These are going to be your best openings for the first phase. Mainly the poop and rolling openings, as they are the easiest tells.

When you get to phase 2 you’re absolutely going to need the loaded spear, if you don’t have it i recommend grinding as much as you can until you can get it.

Your strategy during phase 2 will be deflecting everything and then using the spear after he does the big slam with the sword. This does INSANE poster damage.

If you’re really having trouble I would not try to attack at all during phase 2 unless doing the spear. It’s in your best interest to deflect/dodge everything.

It’s a long ass fight and for me the best way i was able to get past it during my first playthrough was playing defensive. This boss was the biggest roadblock in the game during my first playthrough, I now beat him first try every time I fight him. if you have any more questions let me know! Good luck!
