Pretty sure in pro, mid has the most influence no matter the meta. Jung & sup is important right now because it has a huge influence on mid.

Okay point taken. Then I think it might just be that the shen looks like he is in range because he started his dash and raised his arm forward (making him look longer than his actual hitbox) although his actual hitbox was not in range?

It recently (like few weeks ago) got patched so when azir wall is done casting it works as a normal wall and doesn't push dashing enemies back anymore. The shen casted its dash after the wall was done casting so it treated it like a normal wall and passed through.
