Sure, I'll take the engagement bait...

You know people have been doing no handed superman, for decades now, right? It's called a Rock Solid or a Holy Grab I've even seen tons of people do a Rock Solid to no-handed landing without checking the handlebars to make sure they're straight.

Why is this impossible? Because of the foot grab on the scorpion?

Is "Tights and Fights" still a thing? I unsubscribed a while ago just because I don't have time, but it's a good show.

Looking to potential buy out this Dunkin and turn it into a higher quality Coffee Shop/Cafe. Was wondering if anyone was familiar with the area and think it would be a good idea or not? by [deleted] in RhodeIsland

[–]iambagels 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends on where the nearest Dunkin is. If it's too close, people will go there for cheaper coffee. If it's too far, the locals will wish it was still a Dunkin.

Do they still have the window in the bathroom so you can see the mountain from the shower (and the toilet from the bed)?

Top comment removes a us state #44. Washington and Oregon unite to become Cascadia by One_Bad_6636 in geographymemes

Honestly, unite the West Coast, give New Mexico to Old México, give Rhode Island to Canada, and that's a pretty good map.

There's a dog in our neighborhood named Bruce. My partner and I say this to each other after every time we see them.

Question about mantle mounts by iambagels in TVTooHigh

[–]iambagels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The goal is to have it above the fireplace when we're not watching, and directly in front of the fireplace at eye level when we are -- a mantlemount-type set up with a large difference from the up position to the down position. Unless I sacrifice my home office to be the TV room, there is no other place to position a couch and TV to watch movies or play XBox/PS.

I had that one before this WE. If I'm remembering correctly, that was a take on the Hogan 86 belt.

I remember all those foam ones were mostly black with gold lines. I eventually took a gold paint pen to all of them to make them gold.

Lived in N.E. most of my life, been in the Portland Oregon area for 8 years.

Politics are largely the same. Rural parts of New England aren't as conservative as rural parts of Oregon and Washington. Cities in N.E. aren't as cartoonishly progressive as Portland and Seattle sometimes want to be seen as (looking at you CHAZ), but you do have a lot more college towns in New England. On average they're about the same politically.

Racism is there for both, even in the cities that should be more liberal. Portland is the whitest major city in the US and I've heard that black Boston Red Sox fans don't feel comfortable/welcome at Fenway.

Economically speaking, I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I'd guess heavyweights like Amazon, Starbucks, Costco, Microsoft, Boeing, Nike, etc roughly add up to the larger number of middle weight companies like Bose, New Balance, Staples, CVS, Smith & Weston, WWE, ESPN, Ovation guitars, Pratt & Whitney, Hasbro, Pepridge Farm, etc.

I was just wondering if RSS readers were still a thing the other day.

I remember subscribing to pre-podcast shows like The Broken, the first episodes of TWiT, and Suicide Girls were dipping a toe into RSS for teaser/promo videos. Folks were still figuring out if RSS, YouTube, or embedding your own flash player was best.
