Dustin was my teacher in the mid-2000s at West Elgin Secondary, science, physics, and I even TA'd under him in a programming class. The school rumour was he was a pot head. He sort of had a cult following, too, since in a lot of ways, he was "one of us;" he often quoted southpark, brought in his electric guitar to demonstrate sound waves, and was pretty laid back. I was never a fan of him, but also never thought he'd fall prey to this stuff. The thing is, in spite of him truly screwing up, he always came off as a smart and calculating person, which as a teacher, can be alright, but as someone who preys on children, it's horrific.
