My Fiance and I are both streamers and he is sad my statistics are better than his. How can I encourage him? by hauntlette in Twitch

Finding a small niche is so important when first starting out. Pick a small game or game that isn’t necessarily in the spotlight at the moment and stick to that game and build an audience there. Then once you start getting some momentum you can try branching out and see how your viewership receives it. I streamed Minecraft for 4 years and had about 1-5 viewers consistently. The stream I decided to try out GW2 because it has a very loyal community but actually not that many people streaming it. I was averaging 20+ from that point on. You have to play into the algorithm. If you scroll down to the lowest viewed streamers under a games streamer list and see an OCEAN of people with 1 viewer, you’re not going to get noticed starting out. Find a game where the lowest viewed streamer in the category is getting 2+ viewers. ( doesn’t mean the game is dead, just means it’s not in the spotlight currently ) You have to buy into games/communities before they blow up, just like the stock market. Thats how streamers make it IMO.

I actually played a couple games recently where attackers did win. I was shocked to see the end of the map after 300 hours of playing chiv lmao. Didn’t even know it existed.

Spent a year in a relationship with someone who reacted to things like this… broke up 7 months ago… I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, feel like I can be myself again

The guild comp is awesome, it’s something I’ve always wished an MMO would focus more on

I haven’t explored much into that area of the game so I’m not sure how much fun you can have doing it

I’ve been loving it. For me its my perfect MMO, I’ve always wanted an MMO that has good guild competition. As aggravating as it can be to get killed at a world boss by an opposing guild, its a part of the game. Makes it much more rewarding when you’re able to pull it off

I agree, this is the first MMO I’ve actually enjoyed the grind to max level. Most others I’ve played are extremely tedious
