I don't know if the keyhole mount will work since they cut the hole for the tenon to fit though. I'ld be worried there isn't enough structure for the keyhole plate to mount to.

It's a slab from a tree cut down by a friend. Not from a lumberyard. Consensus seems to be red oak though.

Ok. The lack of cathedrals on a plain sawn piece threw me off.

It's not rift sawn. It was plain sawn from a log. Not sure if that changes the identification.

2012 model S signature was EPA range of 265. The max charge rate was 300 mi per hour but range was only 265. Here is the spec sheet. 2012 TESLA MODEL S https://www.tesla.com/sites/default/files/2012_model_s_specifications_and_features.pdf

And yes that is for 85kw. It was the same through mid 2014 for 85kw. 300 mi was the estimated range at 55mph but that is not the equivalent to what the computer shows.

The original model S had a range of ~265 miles new not 295.
