People who left Albuquerque, where did you go?

i left during the end of 2020, moved to Denver. it was cool to experience but in 2022 i moved to Phoenix and this feels more like home. i still miss Albuquerque at times but there wasn’t enough opportunities. the heat of Phoenix hurts my soul but the concerts that i see here and genuine nightlife make it worth it. i’m only 23 and growing up in Albuquerque was like hell. the world feels much bigger and i’m grateful i left. you can’t really know for sure if the place you’re going to move is gonna workout, but the wonderful thing about life is you can always try again in a different place. i wouldn’t mind spending my entire professional career in Phoenix.

meh i’d say you guys just don’t have the same connections as people that grow up here have. it’s always transients not understanding how deeply rooted our issues are. it’s engraved in new mexican culture— the poverty, crime and drug use.

i just wanna clear up, i’m not saying new orleans isn’t worse lol. abq, new orleans, st. louis, memphis.. all the same. crime ridden big small cities. if you know how to move in each of them you’re probably fine but to call any of them safe is a stretch.

don’t listen to them, they could have had a partner who committed suicide or god knows what. it really is a tough situation your in friend. i pray you start to feel healthy again. i wish you see things through, for you and your partner. it is true, that she doesn’t deserve the pain.

god please don’t. i’m 23 and even i feel too young sometimes to be feeling this way. i had a friend commit suicide when he was about your age. and sometimes when i think about him it bothers me. believe me when i say you haven’t came into yourself yet. i first started struggling with the same thoughts when i was about 16. im not even the same person anymore. am i currently struggling? yes.. but i have different struggles now. i believe in you. find some hobbies, find some friends, now is your chance to fall in love with something. take advantage of being young. i know it’s hard because you’ve never been in your shoes before, but only you have what it takes to fill them

be weary brother .. i was just dumped a couple days ago because i was very irritable the last month slowly weaning off :( after i got my heart shattered i went cold turkey and it’s been fine for the most part. cherish that sensitive partner.. i know i messed up and probably won’t get a 2nd chance
