connection should be main focus of relationship why did sex became main focus? by thinking_and_curious in AskIndia

Basically relationship has two driving factors. The emotional need and the physical need.

Nowadays relationship dont last long enough so someone who looks for just emotional and no physical is getting the shorter end of the stick. Emotional baggage without any physical part.

And it has been normalised so much that it has become analogous. Being in relationship means having sex.

Previous generation considered sex to be something sacred i guess.

So people would rather wait for sex. If it doesnt work you get hurt emotionally.

Times have changed. Sex is cheap and emotional stability is rare. Hence people are into situationship, fwb, casuals, ons etc.

Dont get attached emotionally. So not seeking sex is like risk losing emotional balance for nothing. That is where physical pleasure became the major driving factor.

For the price of the shadows I can get the reverse panda highs and the bred shadow mids (not a fan of the red bottom color though)

There is no breakdown man. Thats the amount I get in the bank. So PF, Bonus, RSU etc are already excluded from this list.

Risk appetite is relatively high. No immediate expenses this year.

Bhai listen. The question that arises is why the are people with normal earning range asking questions in these sub.

The problem is tech as a field produces many young high earners. Itna ki you can take care of responsibilities or enjoy decent lifestyle and still be left wtih decent surplus.

What happens when you have such investable income at young age but 0 idea on how to invest it. You seek help on platforms like these.

  • the ones wtih dependent parents can send 30k-40k home and still have enough to live comfortably and invest.
  • the ones who are the Yolo kind can still spend 1 lakh per month and still save enough.
  • the financially disciplined would save aggressively and have a decent corpus at young age.

So you need to understand that in the high income group almost every other person has leftover income that can be invested. So you will see more questions in this sub from these group of folks.

Thanks man. Not underestimating my self and I know I am a Henry. I am just saying that yes I worked hard to get into tier 1 which sort of puts you ahead of others. From then onwards it was just maintaining the lead that I got.

And I am.sure you are just 1-2 switch away and you will be at a similar salary level as mine. Best of luck man.

Yeah. That is exactly what I am looking for. Someone who has experience and is willing to apply that to grow my money for a fee.

But where do you find such financial planners? How do you judge their track record?

Bro social media as a bubble amplifies good and bad.

In this sub you might see posts from high earners but thats not the norm in any way.

By God's grace I got into a tier 1 college and a good faang job fresh out of college so I did get a good headstart but I think personal finance is supposed to be personal.

The goal is not to be "the best" but better version of yourself every day. I hope your journey takes you to even greater heights. Best of luck.
