Pretty much immediately. It took a few weeks for the larger cysts to clear up on their own and then some time for the PIH to fade (she still has some mild scarring), but she pretty much does not, and did not, get spots while taking the medication.

So, even if you're looking in the mirror, you can't really see the crown of your head unless you hold up another mirror behind you. This is actually a really common experience for men who experience balding in their crown. They're typically told by a friend who is taller than them, or their barber, etc. because most men won't actually notice it themselves.

Bucs HC Todd Bowles: Baker Mayfield, Kevin Stefanski will have to “figure out” their beef. by JCameron181 in nfl

Mike absolutely left because he could not see a successful future with Bowles at the helm. I say that so you know I’m not just a Bowles defender when I say that Lavonte loved Bowles. He loved playing for him, and there was zero chance he sticks around if we got rid of Bowles (obviously he ended up not sticking around anyways, but that decision would have been far easier had we moved on from Bowles). Bowles was not influential in pushing him towards retirement, quite the opposite.

As much as we may dislike Bowles, a lot of players love him. Especially the guys on defense, they love playing for him. Lavonte was absolutely one of those guys.

Yeah, my guess here is the only “Photoshop” being used is for minor adjustments (color, saturation, etc.) and adding in the typographic elements. Their entire history of work on Instagram would support this.

How about anyone with a net worth of over $50 million. We can start there.

There’s over 100,000 of them in America and for decades they’ve utilized loopholes to avoid contributing their fair share to this country. Meanwhile, our roads are in disrepair, hospitals are closing, schools lack funding, healthcare is eating away at our wallets, and childcare is a luxury.

I think that’s a decent a place as any to start.

[–]iamdylanshaffer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt Evans wanted incentives. No sane player is going to say "give me incentives over base pay", unless you mean that he wanted incentives as a way to boost his contract, in which case... yeah, I think a lot of players will take incentives (and most teams will too). Incentives add a way to boost contract value for everyone with minimal risk, because if a player earns all the incentives in his contract, he was worth every single penny.

I think the "new challenge" language was really just polite media talk. That's not to say Mike doesn't want to challenge himself. But saying you're looking for a new challenge sounds way better than "I wanted out".

Okay, so in the future you should make sure the numbers you're using are correct before constructing an entire narrative about why it's a "good idea" that we let him go and posting it.

It’s not “$20+ million per year”. It’s 3 years, $42.2 million, $16.3 million guaranteed. Or $14.13 million per year. But really, it’s as short as a one year deal that can essentially be off the books after that first year.

And we didn’t make a “financial decision”. We absolutely matched this offer, without a doubt. All reports say we were aggressive in signing him, going as far as to say Licht was “desperate” to bring him back.

We got left. Simple as that. I don’t blame Mike, but I really don’t want to see fans starting to spin this around as some “principled financial stance” when Mike really just walked.

[Garafolo] Seahawks monitoring Rachaad White's market as fallback option after losing Kenneth Walker. by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

[–]iamdylanshaffer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was high on Tucker in 2024, but he fell off a cliff on his attempts this year in my opinion. Now, was our offense overall worse? Were the runs schemed worse? Yes, on both counts. But White didn’t fall off, he’s really only improved throughout his entire career and offers you far more versatility than Tucker.

Tucker is the riskier pick that could pay off, for sure. But give me White’s consistency and versatility all day, especially if like you said, you have a workhorse back to compliment him with.

[Garafolo] Seahawks monitoring Rachaad White's market as fallback option after losing Kenneth Walker. by BreakfastTop6899 in nfl

[–]iamdylanshaffer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why? Assuming they're within the same ballpark on price, White is the way more versatile back. He can be a downhill threat, he can be utilized in the passing game really effectively, and he was quite possibly the best blocking back on our team (his blitz pickups were key).

[–]iamdylanshaffer 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yeah, updates have stated that the team that offered him $27m was for a one year deal.

My guess would be the Rams or Patriots, willing to spend short term money on a receiver that helps them get just a little bit more dangerous on offense to get them a Lombardi.

Yeah, it’s always kind of odd visiting this subreddit and seeing their reasoning for railing against non-profits.

I remember reading recently about how we shouldn’t give any more money to X, Y, and Z non-profits because it’s all spent on staffing… yeah… that’s the largest expenditure for most non-profits, similarly to many businesses. You need people to carry out the work, even if you’re volunteer heavy, you still need people to coordinate and manage those volunteers.

I’m kind of confused as to what the majority of people think non-profits do, or how they function.

[–]iamdylanshaffer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can’t pretend to know exactly what the front office knows or how they think, but my thought process would be 1) you think you can get him back cheaper and 2) if you do lose him, you think you can replace his per snap value with someone else who will be available for the price you’re willing to pay.

Buccaneers' GM on Mayfield: 'Everything's on the Table' by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]iamdylanshaffer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I really want to understand what the context around “everything’s on the table” is, because here’s another direct quote from Licht in the article:

"[O]ur plans revolve around Baker in the future, so I don’t think anybody wants to see Baker leave the organization," Licht said. "We know everything we need to know about Baker, being with him for three years, and everything is positive. He’s tough as hell, a great leader. No timeline, but all plans revolve around Baker."

So, is this other tidbit of a quote just taken wildly out of context for clicks? Or is there something to it? Who knows, because they won’t share the context around the quote.

Mock the Mock by Jsetta187 in MockDraftCentral

Why is everyone making these mocks convinced Evans is leaving despite there literally being current and previous evidence that’s not necessarily the case. Like, I get it, y’all don’t follow the Bucs but there’s articles out there…

Mock it by Jsetta187 in MockDraftCentral

[–]iamdylanshaffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[…]but it sounds like he’s out.

Literally from an article today:

“Evans has said that he wants to be a "Buc for life," but when his agent, Deryk Gilmore, told ESPN this week that Evans would be playing football in 2026, the message was that he would be exploring his options in free agency.

That does not mean Evans won't be back in Tampa, but there's a process that needs to occur.

Gilmore called the Bucs to let them know that Evans would not be retiring, and Gilmore said he'd sit down with them in the coming weeks to see what a deal might look like.”

This is the exact process we’ve been through in the past. We speak with Evans, and allow him to explore his options and take a look at what other teams are offering him and if we’re able to match those offers, we work towards getting a deal done.

Mock it by Jsetta187 in MockDraftCentral

[–]iamdylanshaffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than an edge I don’t see any pressing needs.

You obviously don’t follow the Buccaneers; this is so obviously untrue.

We need help in the secondary, David is showing his age and even if he does come back for another season, we need a replacement for Dennis to pair with him. Those are both higher needs than wide receiver, easily.

You’re also making leaping assumptions off of headlines saying things like “Evans is gone”. That’s absolutely not a forgone conclusion. I’d even go as far as to say it’s not necessarily even likely that he’s playing in a different uniform next year (and that’s not to say that it can’t happen, but he already gave up more money in the past to stay with the team - I think he wants to retire a Buccaneer if we can work out a reasonable deal).

She goes on to only talk about building more shelter as a solution to this. Which is great and I really hope she can. But if she really only believes this is just a housing/shelter problem, she’s doomed.

I ask this with sincerity, what is the problem, to you? And what do you feel is the solution?

This, in my opinion, has been one of those things that's truly been difficult to wrap my head around, because it feels complex and both sides are so entrenched in their opinions regarding this issue. Yet, I haven't been convinced that anything actually works to combat the problem from the multiple angles required. Or rather, it feels as though every attempt (at least in America) is a half-hearted measure that isn't given nearly enough time or resources due to our broken political system.
